I remember I had an alchemy pack ages ago that I never released.... It's actually what Sheep Pack evolved from! :tongue.gif:
Transmutation circle as a breaking animation is awesome! Just sayin'

...I think I may be getting in over my head here with the 'alchemy' thing. It's actually looking more like a witch/wizard pack, conveniently set in the enlightenment.
..Oh wait. That IS essentially alchemy. Derp.
Don't expect any full metal alchemist references, though-- I'm not a fan of the show or the manga.
I like the crafting table, I think it fits really well.
Just wondering though, what sort of things will you do to make it 'alchemy-ish' if you are sticking with that theme?
Looks like a VERY good mix of both to me. Very nice so far indeed.
Thank you!
Do you think the alchemy thing is the way to go, or would I be stepping on glimmar's toes and/or creating a pack for an audience that doesn't exist? Does anyone even actually WANT an alchemy pack? :\

Oh, um, lots of things... like, uh....
LOOK, A SHEEP!
Just kidding. No, I have a lot of cool ideas up my sleeve, but I don't want to list them out yet in case I decide to change them.

Hmm.. Maybe... How about a pack that looks like its taking place in the Renaissance? I'm such a nerd

I think it may be my overworked brain...but I have no idea what an alchemy pack is/would be, beyond the basic meaning of alchemy.

QUICK, RUN! SHE'S GOING TO START LECTURING ON THE HISTORY OF ALCHEMY!! AHHH!!
But seriously, I intend to have this pack follow the historical roots of alchemy, not over-blown pop culture remakes (*cough*fullmetalalchemist*cough*). Essentially, alchemy was a kind of primitive science with spiritual beliefs thrown in on top. Just think of it as wannabe witches and wizards (and fortune-tellers) in the enlightenment era.
EDIT: Oh wait. That's not much of an explanation of what this pack will look like either. Derp.
Let's just say...you'll get it when you see it. I may not be able to describe it, but it will (hopefully) all come together as I edit more textures. THEN you'll see what I mean.

It's hard to make your mind up on what pack to do isn't it? I've been switching between 3-4 base themes to see which one turned out the best.
Definitely difficult. I have so many possible themes running around in my head (and so many mis-fire packs I've started) that I can't keep track of them all.

I know right. The Chinese theme didn't come out like I wanted it to, so I'm just going to do extended RPG pack with three different downloadable themes. (Ya, ya, I know it sounds like dokucraft, chill out people.) Don't know what the themes will be yet though. Prolly something like evil, wizardry(idk I'm just throwing out ideas)
Could really be anything based on the textures. It's the items that define the "theme" of a pack in my opinion. All I ask is: Is it finished? it looks really nice and I would love to have this pack. If not, then when it's ready you can rest assured you will have at least one download!

My Website. I make mods for Minecraft and am also making my own game.
Thanks. I'm just hoping not to end up getting too close to glimmar's territory...although this is supposed to emphasize magic, not steam tech.

Did that already. :biggrin.gif:
It's called Assassini-Costruttori (listed under assassincraft/renaissance on the forums) if you're interested.

A pack that mixes alchemy and pokemon.

That's actually a very scary thought.
