~ Half-Steps - Wood is the same, cobble is uglier, stone...I like it a lot, but it shouldn't have that detailed an image on it. It's a step, not a plaque/painting/block.
~ Liquids - MUCH MUCH BETTER. The "Still" forms are constantly moving, so they're not really "still", but the "flowing" liquids are 3 times better than before. NOTE: "Still" Liquids actually "flow" in a certain NWSE direction when you place it by itself.
~ Iron Blocks - Better in some ways, slightly worse in a few. The pluses outweigh the minuses easily.
~ Gold Blocks - Better than the previous. It suits the texture pack nicely.
~ Diamond Blocks - Individually, it's awesome, though it could be too colorful when used in large amounts.
~ Crafting Table - Many times better than the awful thing we had before, but there's still plenty of room for improvement. Can't tell the sides apart from a chest when placed next to one.
~ Block Breaking Animation - I like it. Can't say whether it's an improvement or not, but I like it.
~ Furnace/Dispensers - Better, though they could still use some improvement. They look metallic, even though they're supposed to be made of cobblestone.
~ Various Leaves - Normal Leaves are better, so are Birch Leaves, Pine does not tile well (I think tile is the word I mean to use here)
~ Wheat - Definitely just a placeholder. Extra Lives thing is bulky, and doesn't fit. The other is decent, but nothing special.
~ New Font - Horrible. Get rid of it. Sides of letters often touch each other making it more difficult to read.
~ Trapdoors - Someone else made something like this with one big hole in the middle. I hated it then, and I hate it now. It just doesn't fit the image of a trapdoor, in my opinion.
~ Iron Door - I like the new color, looks more...polished? In any case, I think it looks better.
~ Note Block/Jukebox - A great start, though there are some parts that I feel could be done better.
~ Glowstone - I think you should use the "lava inside" from this part, with everything else from the previous version.
~ Bookshelves - Big plus, they were horrible before; couldn't even tell they were bookshelves.
~ Sponge - I thought those got removed? I've yet to see sponges in the game myself, nor do I know anything else about it.
~ Cobble/Moss Stone - Cobble looks slightly worse, though Moss Stone has become amazing. If you can change cobble, while keeping moss, do so.
~ Glass - Small change, but I think it's better.
WHY are you using the chickens from Spinball? I thought it was agreed to use the ones from Mushroom Hill? Mushroom Hill Chickens are superior to the Clucks from Spinball.
LOTS of good stuff in this update. I've heard that Notch has a tendency to release updates closer to the end of a month, so it might take a while towards the net update, since I doubt he'll release it within the week.
The possibilities of the past and future are as various as our imaginations. How far we can think, and what we can think of, is dependent on each of us, and what we believe in.
Cobble. I feel if you mine it raw. It shouldn't look polished lol. Its still cut exactly from the game, just slightly recolored/contrasted. I changed the moss and the cobblestone to blend together so for now. It's pretty much a keep graphic.
The font. I thought I said something about this. The letter O seems to regardlessly of how I place it, ALWAYS touches the others. Worry not. I'm definitely going to scrap it.
Glowstone, please define, I don't know what you mean?
Bookshelves. Definite WIP. They pretty much suck right now.
Sponge- I found a simple graphic that fit so I just added it. If u want to find a way to use it. Then use it.

the new version has many errors like the glass is black :blink.gif: wtf that doesnt work for glass and the plants have a black background also u should check that :wink.gif:
This is a 32x32 texture pack, therefore, you need to use MCPatcher, or many blocks will not appear as they should.
I say, you do what was done with Dokucraft, if the patcher isn't installed, then water will be an image that tells you to use the patcher.

The new leaves look great, But its WAY too hard to see through them.
The sand stone half step looks good, But don't you think it should match the sand stone texture? If you dicide to get rid of one of them, get rid of the half step, But use it for something else.
Other than that I love the new textures!
Edit: But I did like the old glass better :sad.gif: But I guess its ok.
And really like my idea for a chicken reskin, and what happened to the rings for hearts idea? And the alt. wool?
And why am I pestering you so much when its all ready fantastic? :lol:XD
1.8 update will have chickens drop their carcass for you to eat after killing them, and zombies no longer drop feathers. I don't know about you, but I don't want to go around killing something that looks like a Flicky, for whatever reason.

Good point, but if chickens and zombies don't drop feathers then how the bleep do you make arrows? :blink.gif:
Speaking of the 1.8 update, aren't there going to be new coble blocks with the exact texture this has now?
Edit: Also, its time to update the in game terrain on the front page.
I'm pretty sure chickens will still drop feathers. I think Notch just made it so that for testing purposes, the version shown at PAX was set to drop a carcass every time. It will be like skeletons, being able to drop more than 1 different item upon killing it.
I don't think spikes are going to be in the 1.8 update, they'll probably be in the 1.9 update. I think they are going to make a new default texture for cobble, but I doubt it's going to be what we have now.
I updated the terrain on page 11, Affinite just hasn't added it to the OP yet.

That's cobblestone, and moss stone. New default textures for both.
Edit: It seems like some sides of the cobble have cracks running through them, now that I look at it closer. It looks like these randomly generated ruins/dungeons also have the blocks placed in random directions; because it looks like cobble no longer faces the same NWSE direction, regardless of which side you place it.
Edit2: Affinite's thinking of changing the current cobble anyway. There are some similarities, but the current one is not the same as what's in that picture.

First of all. Leaves. JW BUT, when will you ever even need to see through them? I thought that was one of the main goals of the "fast" graphic lol. 2. Cobble will be changed eventually and the current cobble and moss stone will be an INSTANT match. Thanks everyone for everything!

I just found/edited together an awesome mossy coble for my texture pack (which I am just now getting around to making), but its more centered around the marble zone (sonic 1) stone...
You would probably just have to trash you current stone, but I don’t think you want to do that.
But I could pm them to you if you want. :smile.gif:
Edit: I also have an awsome iron partical you can use, just pm me if you want it. It goes perfecty with the current iron ore. :smile.gif:

I'll Message you the stuff since I think it might be better to leave it out until the next update.
Edit: Sowwie! Epic texture pack! :biggrin.gif:
Remember the flicky birds from Sonic Blast ["Sonic 3D Flicky Island" in europe]?
They would work pretty good as a chicken skin.

Sorry, I meant this brick block.
It is a new block, right?
If so then what's it texture going to be if the current coble texture is just like it?
