--- Introduction -----
Hey guys, DaCheezball here, with my first texture pack. This is a work in progress, and it'll be regularly updated with every new addition to Minecraft, along with the tweaks and fixes necessary. I've been working on and off on it for the past few months and I think I've finished enough to release it to you guys. However, as I said, work in progress - it's not complete. I'll be taking in advice too. If you guys want something changed, I'll take that in and fix it up.
I'd appreciate your comments on the pack. If there's stuff you like and stuff you don't like, tell me what's wrong, otherwise I can never know, and I can never fix it.
I'd also like to thank Deanos619 for getting me into this. His pack can be found here. It's pretty sexy, I have to admit.
Also, if you would be so kind as to click on the Adf.ly link rather than the Mediafire...five seconds of your time isn't much compared to the time that's been spent on this pack. :smile.gif:
Now, before we get into the rest of the post (the seed in the pictures below is 'Moon' minus quotes, if you're curious), I'd like to mention that this pack is completely original. Excluding the things that haven't been worked on yet, every texture was done by me, and it will stay that way.
This pack use the default water/lava and stuff, so there's no need for any patching whatsoever. Just put the .zip file in your Texture Pack folder ((username)\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\texturepacks) and select it from the in-game menu. Easy peasy.

Most of your textures tile well, and I think the cobblestone looks amazing. Solid job, mate! Also, I can see that this is still a WIP and some components are not finished (or rather, up to standard with the rest of the pack); but for what you have, i'd say to keep doing what you're doing!
One thing I might suggest, however, is to add depth to some of the forestry. Although it looks fine and obviously fits in with the cartoon-esque theme of the pack, even some detail can make the world of a difference. Granted, those kinds of textures are exceptionally tedious to make (in terms of logical tiling), but from what I see, I think you could pull it off.
EDIT: I hear you on the view/post ratio; there's nothing more aggravating than a large observational community not taking the time to provide even the most basic level of criticism. It makes a big difference, does it not?

Thanks mate, appreciate it. I'll see what I can do with the forestry. I have exams next week, but I'll have time this weekend to do some work. And you got the pack theme right - try and guess which game the TNT's based off :wink.gif:
And yeah, the level of criticism's a little annoying. At least you're good with the feedback, especially the amount of it. :smile.gif:
Pretty good, I dislike the coal texture, and obsidian should look rougher.
Great job on the rest.
Thanks.
I was thinking that myself about the coal, it probably needs a bit more work done to it. And obsidian in real life is a fairly smooth rock, that's why it doesn't look rough.
This is quite a nice texturepack.
I like it, but here are some things you might want to change.
First off, the smooth stone texture doesn't tile very well. Not that big of a problem but can be annoying in stone houses.
I really didn't like the glowstone. I use glowstone a lot and I dislike it. I think it should be smoother, but that's up to you. I also didn't like Netherrack. It looks too cartoonish compared to the other textures.
I loved the torches, they're awesome :laugh.gif: The cactus texture is cool too.
One last thing I didn't like was the gravel. It's black and white and really doesn't fit the pack.
That said, I think this pack can be made much more pleasant by tweaking some textures a bit. But that's just my taste. You should probably wait for other people to comment on this texturepack to see which textures you should change. Also what is that black thing on the beds?
I hope to see an update soon :biggrin.gif:
Thanks.
There's definitely updates coming, this pack will be regularly updated over the next few weeks as I try to get rid of all the problems and finish off all the things I haven't finished.
And the bed...well, I couldn't decide what colour to do for my bed, so I looked to my right and saw mine. :biggrin.gif:
Awesome :smile.gif: I'm looking forward to updates as this texturepack is nice, except for the few problems mentioned above. Is your bed black and red? :laugh.gif:
Yeah, black, red and white, but it looked stupid in Minecraft, so I got rid of the white.
I think I've fixed the stone tiling issue and I've just redone the gravel so that it's way more grey and there's way less contrast. I could do a little update right now...or I could wait until tomorrow night so that I can pack more in.
Version 1.0.2 is out, guys. Check out the OP for the latest download links.

Huge, I know. Plenty of things I wanted to address.
Makes it hard when you guys read the topic and don't bother with the slightest bit of information.
Thanks.

Better, worse? What do you guys think?
I replied. v1.02 should come within the next two days. Exams this week will make that difficult, but I'll find a way :smile.gif:
Oh, and I think 50 downloads is a notable milestone...
Cheers. Items will come soon, currently they are the default ones.

The netherack tiles muuuch better. Update looks mad, you change the torches yet? :wink.gif:
I did slightly. They never looked like cigarettes anyway. :wink.gif:
