ETA: Yeah, IC is very involved and massive and I have barely scratched the surface lol
Find where the mod was installed, (in buildcraft's case this would be the Buildcraft_Core .zip file in your mods folder) look for the folder where the texture images are kept, (again for BC this would be something like /net/minecraft/buildcraft/gui/ in the .zip) and then simply drag and drop my textures on top of the current ones. Next time you load up the game they should be working fine. You'll need to have already patched minecraft with the HD Patch for the textures to display properly.
If you still need help I can record an installation video.
Plasmacraft is coming along. I'd say it's close to half-done (meaning the easy stuff is finished). I might post a preview later in the evening. The FancyPack has also received some attention lately and will probably be released around the same time. I've also changed & updated a few Buildcraft textures (including some for one of it's addons) that you'll probably see sometime very soon.
However my girlfriend just moved in with me yesterday so I won't have too much free time this coming week. Lot's of stuff to unpack, plus we've both been looking forward to spending more time with each other.
EDIT: I also plan on releasing 128x versions alongside the current releases now.

sweet. love to preview your work on plasmacraft. thanks their guns really stand out without a hd texture
Please tell me that there is an IC replacement pack in the works at sometime in the future? I am a fan of linking Buildcraft and IC together, but I love the HD textures (fave is Misa's, by far)
Haven't tired Ultimate Fist since it came out, but it looks amazing, good work. Kind of reminds me of Dr. Hax....
Edit: IC has cleaned up, Alblaka has sorted out some of his textures, at least to me. I have been hunting for HD textures for IC for a while. This looks promising. Very promising.
HUGE update today! First of all I've reformatted the entire thread. It now looks completely different, and in my opinion totally awesome. Even got a new topic title! I've also added 128x128 resolution versions of my textures for (most of) my packs.
The following was changed:
- Buildcraft updated to 1.7.3.3, some textures changed
- Portal updated to v4. some textures added
- Wallpaper Mod textures added.
- Redpower Wiring Mod textures added
Unfortunately I've also scrapped my work on Plasmacraft as I don't use it anymore. :\
Unless you know of a better way, I would like a 64x version please. On my client (overclocked i7 @ 4.1 ghz, 6950 graphics cards in crossfire) the game becomes unplayable if I have animated textures on (water, lava, etc) and switch to a 128x texture pack.
EDIT : I just tried it. Even with the HD texture mod it works fine with the 128x textures. Apparently, that mod rescales textures automatically, probably on loading the textures. Or maybe modloader does it. There's a little quality loss as would be expected but it works ok. Looks a lot better than default.

Have you tried using Optifog/Optimine for HD textures instead of the HD Patcher? It does all the same things as the patcher but adds a lot of graphics options and tweaks that boost performance.
I most likely will be releasing 64x versions of my textures since they still look quite decent even when downscaled.
Well the majority of FancyPack (the furniture) takes textures from whatever texture pack you're using, but the other things like the roads, fancystone, chains, lanterns, and pottery are all getting new textures. All I have left is the pottery, which is proving to be more difficult than anticipated. If anyone has any photos of some symmetrical pottery I could use it would be appreciated.
As for the 64x packs, expect them to be available later tonight (in class till 1 AM atm) or tomorrow afternoon. The packs that will be available in 64x are: Buildcraft, Redpower Wiring, Airplanes, Wallpaper, & Ultimate Fist.
i really like your RedPower wire-textures. But it looks like the RedPower mod got a few updates and your wire-HD textures are not working properly on the Version 1.6 anymore (at least for bundled cables)
Iam looking forward to a new version to get the nice HD looks back :smile.gif:
Thanks for your Work and keep it up.
I'm aware and already working on updating them. However I understand that a few people haven't upgraded to the latest version (myself included) because of incompatibilities with Forge. I've got a second jar setup so I can use it to test my textures, so no worries. Thanks for your support!
thanx for these textures i use the portal and redwiring ones they are really good escpecially your new faith plates. just a question, i know you started plasmacraft but stopped but could you pm me any guns you did for another raygun mod by scokovee? or maybe you could do it?
Nice stuff here. And you take requests eh? I have a bit of a big list of mods and some of them simply don't work graphically with hd. >.>
Industrial Craft
Flint Craft
Coral Reef
wizard Craft
would be great to see these done by you. *wink*
Love your textures for some of the mods I use "RedPower" for one. Buildcraft for two.
I was curious if you would be willing to do about 5 or 6 individual textures, which I can import into my textures for use in another mod I use, which is not compatible with buildcraft.
I personally use Misa's 64px textures, and random mobs, but the best quality scuba gear I've seen is only 32px.
Finite Liquids by DJoslin.
I love this mod because it makes water (IMHO) what it was meant to be. But the graphics for it are all 16px.
I haven't found any decent replacements while hunting around.
So the requests are as follows
1) Scuba Gear -- Armor *chest* - Tanks, this is also an inventory item you hold and right click a special block to fill the tank -- Armor *head* - scuba mask/helmet -- somewhere in the mod it's using a different helmet when seen in your inventory, and I can't find it., but eventually a GUI mask would be nice also.
Suggesting this texture, because there are a LOT of mods I've seen that use scuba gear, and having a HD texture would be nice, and I'm sure many would appreciate it. The Following are all the same standard size as regular blocks (stone, cobblestone, etc) 2) Pump - A generic looking pump (usually connected to pipes, to output something (in finite liquid, it's a water pump)
There are many mods out there that could use a pump looking block, I even tried to search steam punk mods/textures figuring they'd have something close, but couldn't find anything. 3) Pipe Grate - Found on the ends of pipes in finite liquid, it is just a grate to represent the end of a pipe (that has no other blocks (like a pump) attached to it.
No real thoughts on if it'll work in other mods, haven't seen many that would use this in a visible location 4) Grate - A stand alone block to act as a damn or flood gate, redstone controlled to allow/disallow liquid flow.
Technically I can copy the pipe grate and recolor it a tad to cover this one. BUT steel floor grate might be a good substitute. 5) Some Compressor like block: basically would look like an air compressor or similar. (this is for the scuba stuff)
Many mods out there are doing scuba or water related changes, and having this to go with scuba stuff would fit well. 6) A block representing a Liquid detection sensor. be that water, oil, slime, whatever. Redstone controlled when liquid contacts the block, it provides redstone power.
As I said, these are just requests, if you have the time and inclination, I'd much appreciate it, and I'm sure many would appreciate a lot of them also.
IF you know of existing textures for any of these.. that are 64px or better, please link me.. I've been searching, and either my search skills have failed me, or something.
TheAttendee, I didn't see a texture for RedPowers redstone pipe, Eloraam made a redstone pipe for BuildCraft. I used your clear(ish) pipe texture to crate this, the breaking thing at the bottom I didn't touch. I'm sure you can make something better.. but I wanted to play with it now.. Look forward to seeing something official from you.

EDIT:
RedPower Wiring, has changed in the most recent update. Eloraam added colors to teh bundles like the wiring.. so there are now 16 bundles (1 for each color).
I am NOT a graphics artist, but seeing wacked out textures annoyed me. So I again copied TheAttendee's textures for wires to fix it temporarily for myself.. it's what I think the bundle used to look like.
TheAttendee, I hope I'm not stepping on your toes doing this, but I also have no idea how often you check here. So here is a temporary modification (just copy paste of your existing wire to fill in the NEW spots.
I couldn't even begin to try and alter what you have to COLOR each bundle, the only thought I had was maybe to change the end parts that are white in my (hopefully very) temporary fix, to represent each color. But then there are some colors that are so close, that'd make them hard to tell. So I didn't even try.
