Right, I've been working on this pack for a while. It's originally based off of the 16x16 Doku pack by Clip, and XXSheep's pack in fact, I'm still using water, lava, and leafs from earlier versions of their packs, but I will work on those shortly. Otherwise the only thing (that I can think of right now) that I haven't touched has been the art, which I've only changed a few pictures on.
Updates:
September 3rd. Wow, a whole month since an update... Anyways, I've updated the two packs to 1.8, so unless Notch changes it on me I should be fine. I also changed the Cobblestone, moss stone, sandstone, and bricks in both packs, as well as added my own water. I'm working on mod support right now, but I have really been playing a whole lot of MC lately so I haven't tested them out, and I don't want to release them yet.
August 3rd, 2011: I've come to the conclusion that while I like the textures I've been working on since the last update, I also find the old more simplistic almost cell shaded feel too. So rather than make an Alt file that has more textures in it than the actual texture pack, I'm just going to split them into two different packs with their own feel. One with the cell shaded feel, the basic pack, and one with more details for a lack of better words, the RPG pack.
Here are a few comparisons.
Textures shown: Wooded planks, Cobblestone, Glowstone, Green wool, and Stone slabs.

I fixed the text, and wish to apologize for it before, I was messing around with it earlier and never fixed it. Speaking of text, if anyone knows how to get rid of the shadow the text creates that would be greatly appreciated. I'm also going to work on the art tonight, and maybe the water/lava. Please comment so i know what to fix.
The first one doesn't tile right from top to side, then side to side, but I'm working on it. Otherwise the art will be updated as one, (hopefully tomorrow), and I'm thinking of getting rid of the "popsicle" flowers instead use something like Norsecraft where it's a bush. Again, any comments are helpful.
I updated what I had done of the art, and also changed the pics I had in the OP. I also added an alt file with the three other versions of the obsidian, chests, and white wool.
Thanks I really liked the alternate obsidian, are you trying to go for a cell-shaded look? If you are the trees don't really match. But I really like the dirt and rocks.

I do want to go in at some point and re-do the trees and the pine needles. Also, I was thinking of taking the color scheme of the bedrock, and switching it with the smooth stone color scheme just because I realized it gets a little dark underground. But, in all honesty, I did this pack the same way I do everything in life. I sat down, and I winged it. I just had an idea to make the 16 bit Doku pack a little lighter and simpler. Then I just went from there.
I darkened up all the wood pieces, I redid the cobblestone texture, added some basic shading, darkened the wool, added a lot of alts(mostly what the textures were before this update), and also added mod support for CTM(connected texture mod).
Updated to 1.7, darkened slime balls, added "windows" to the trapdoors, changed the smooth stone and all forms of cobblestone, and also I fixed the boots of all the armors so there is no longer a single white pixel on the right boot.
I also added noise to the grass(although not in the current images), the "old" grass is in the "Alts" image.
Ok, so a rather large update, I've split it into two packs, and I am working on support for the Æther, and I'm thinking about Mo' creatures. As of now the two packs share Mobs, but I will make new ones for the RPG pack soon.
Thanks for the support. Anyways I just uploaded a new version of the RPG pack, where I changed the wool, chests, furnace, workbench, dispenser, Pistons, and pretty much everything else that the two packs shared regarding the terrain save for the vegetation.
Not sure if it's only a problem for me, but fast and fancy graphics are switched around for your pack. Like the leaves are see-through on fast, but solid on fancy.

The best blocks i would say are the ore blocks and paintings.

Edit: ya it's just your pack.
