Love this texture pack to death. Unfortunately the game lags a bit on my rig when using super high-res packs like this. Looking forward to the 64x64 version.
I'm afraid not, His work is superior in every aspect, all I did was cut the design out of the window so I've got a wooden frame and glass. No real work was done, it took tops, 5 mins. to do.
If you open his pack and look at Terrain.png with an image editor (like photoshop) you could do this easily for yourself; Nothing personal, but I wont demean Sevenfour's work by sharing a cut out; sorry. :sad.gif:
Loving this texture pack and can't wait to see it finished either. I was apprehensive about the glass at first but it has grown on me, a lot. :smile.gif: Spent hours looking for a texture pack that I really liked and this is the only one.Good job and keep up the awesome work~! :Diamond:Tempted to make a youtube video at some point in the future, I'll link you up if I do. :biggrin.gif:
I'd like that, if you make one and it's awesome I might put it in the first post. I would do it myself but it would take a while and I'm pretty lazy about it...
This is the first 128x128 pack I've ever used(I normally stick to 32x32 and 16x16 packs) and wow, this is amazing.I just love the theme(dark, crisp and ornate)and the armor and tools are beautiful. This changed my view on HD packs completely, thank you. Also,I noticed something:The ores have a different, darker shade of stone than the plain stone.I presume it's because you tweaked the normal stone from an older version but didn't add said tweak to the stone around the ores.I like the old stone better than the current shade of it.
Yes they are slightly different, I'll correct it in the next one. In which version did you like the stone color the best? Version 2?
I really like this pack, but here is some constructive criticism (please dont take any offense). Everything is the same color! Well not really but there is A LOT of brown in this pack. Mix it up a little. What are the swirls in the dirt? It is the only texture thing that bothers me besides the colors. Other than that, I really do like this pack. It is very unique. It gives off kind of an ancient Indian or Indochinese vibe.
The swirls in the dirt are to help you differentiate it from smooth stone, since it's a similar color... But a lot of people are annoyed with it. Might make it more red or something in the future and remove swirls.
I actually have ver. 3 installed, but the glass is still just too...busy.At any rate, I went in and cleaned up the glass just for myself, kind of unrealistic of me to ask you to change the work you've put so much effort into (that design IS actually rather cool, it's just too much for me).I love the work though, it's great. I do believe I'll be continuing to use your texture pack, thanks so much for the hard work you've put into it, it really shows.
I know, I've made it even more clear since the last posted release... that change will be in the next one. If it's still too much, I'll make an optional "alternate" glass texture.

I'm going to include it in the next release. That might be in... a week or so? Maybe a little more or less.
That image with the circle with the tower in the center looks oddly familiar :tongue.gif: almost like something I built on a server I once played on. XD

Awesome! I'll keep my eyes open for it. :smile.gif:
This is a good texture pack. I tend to shy away from HD packs in general as I feel that they break the look of the game, but this one works. Looking forward to more updates.
I do have a suggestion. The bedrock should not be so similar to the smooth stone. Kind of threw me for a loop when I started hacking at a block with my diamond pick and it didn't break.
I like this pack, I really do. A lot more than any other 128x pack. It's just so brown and dark though. It needs some variation and color.

I have to say, out of all the HD packs I've tried, this is the only one I actually like. Everything looks great. The only problem is that I sometimes can't tell the difference between dirt and stone when I'm underground. I for one like how brown it is though. It seems more real, like the dust from digging is coating my mines.
Edit - The rails are amazing too. They look futuristic yet ancient at the same time to me. Perfect in my opinion.
Absolutely beautiful! Of course our server is running Industrial Craft so can't use anything over 64x64... :sad.gif: Any chance of scaling it down to that somewhere in the future?

great job man this is by far my favorite texture pack. The colors could use a bit of brightening though. This pack reminds me so much of Final Fantasy XII (which is by the way my favorite game). even the weapons and armors remind me of FFXII. I think if you use that game as an example you could add a lot more life to the pack. excellent job so far and keep up the good work. :smile.gif:
...hmm... Just googled FFXII and I don't see it. Maybe it is because I have never played the game. I think the Riven comparison is the closest.
Here is something I just realized whilst designing my own texture pack. It is very difficult to get textures that blender into each other that do not looks similar. That he has managed to get the cobblestone, wood, stone, bedrock and all the others to work together so well is awesome. If these things were changed to make them more visible that would break the continuity of this pack. Therefore I retract my earlier post about changing the bedrock.

There will be a 64x version in the near-ish future.

I still think I can push the bedrock out to be a little bit different still and it won't look weird. Might try to do that with the dirt too, since it's hard to see it in inventory.
Recent changes that you will see in the next release
Changed water texture to have a better animation made from a caustics generator I found (hard to tell without a video)
Made grass and tall grass use grasscolor.png instead of being solid color:
Changed moss stone to look more like cobblestone and cooler in my opinion:
Glass is somewhat clearer, if it's still not clear enough for some I'll add a clearer glass version which takes away even more:
Changed cobble to have square decoration on the corners of the blocks so that it tiles correctly when you only have see one block. Smooth stone is now less smooth and a little bit mysteriously sculpted. Stone in general has had its saturation and contrast adjusted:
Hopefully helps for seeing the difference between stone and other blocks in inventory
"Waves" in the dirt are less visible:
Changed ores to each be more unique and, in my opinion, cooler:
Adjusted color of lava to be more red:
Changed the top of log blocks to tile better against the sides:
64x version is WIP!
Overall, made everything a bit less realistic with careful mixing of "cutout" filter on some textures (more apparent in the 64x version)

Well I built it. I guess we build similar things!

-snip-
This texture pack needs a bit of an uplift!..
Weapons/tools looking nice though. I still think it's missing a bit of polished Shine though.
