Absolutely amazing! I was a little concerned it might be too dark but I think its perfect. Have to confess that I let out a big laugh when i checked it out at my existing "art gallery". To see those default pics against your blocks was hilarious! Just goes to show what talent can do :biggrin.gif:
I like the changes in v3, especially the windows which wasn't really functional in v2. Now the texture is good. :wink.gif: I think we can still cut down some ornaments, but I don't know if it might break the 'style' of the window.
And I would also share some suggestions :
- On the "sign" texture : Make the corners and gaps between planks less visible and/or brighter (it's a little difficult to read text there)
- On the "dirt" texture : Remove the 'wave effect', it really looks strange for dirt and it's far too identical to the sand texture
- On the "cobblestone" texture : Use squares corners so they perfectly match from one block to another
I hope it will help you to make the ultimate texture pack for Minecraft. :laugh.gif:
Good suggestions, thanks. I noticed the cobblestone and sign things a long time ago, just didn't have any ideas with how to fix them yet. I'll have to see about making the corners square without making the stone sizes look weird. For the sign I think I'll just make the front have a "smooth" wood texture with some bolts on each corner instead of being made of bars.
After playing around with this texture pack I have come to the conclusion that I really like it with the exception of the glass. I use glass because I want to see through it like a window. The cool texture for it would be great if it were limited to the outside edges so that you can peer through the center.

I've increased the visibility more, in the next version it might be suitable for you.
So I was testing this texture pack out again and I gotta say that the armor is hella sweet. Also, I look forward to your interpretation of the mobs.
As for the glass, I tend to agree with those that have mentioned that although it's beautiful, it could do with more visibility... even the more recent version.
hey i want to say that the texture packs dont work i donwload (mu) and i only got black screen i hope you can help me.please help me
Here's a checklist
1. Did you use the HD patcher?
2. Are you using the right verison of the HD patcher for your minecraft version?
3. Is your minecraft updated to 1.6 or newer?
4. If you answered yes to all 3, post your system and OS specs
32 bit OS, and I am not completely sure, it may be a 32 bit java as well.I will update the information to you about the memory soon, because I am not able to see at the moment. I know my laptop is equipped with good memory.
Alright, well in my 32 bit OS install, I was having a lot of crashes with 128x textures in 1.6.5. It was fine in every version before that. It may or may not help to force the game to launch with 1024 MB of ram allocated (max for 32 bit java?), you can find out how to do that here: http://www.buxville.net/showthread.php/6239-Increase-Minecraft-Memory-Usage
If it still doesn't work, you can try installing a 64 bit OS and 64 bit Java if you want to go to that much effort. Although this is probably only worth it if you have 2 GB or more of memory. If you don't have that much memory or you don't want to install a 64 bit OS, you will probably have to wait until a Minecraft update fixes the issue, or until the next verison of the pack. Since it seems like a decent amount who want to use it can't, I'll release the next version in 128x and 64x, and you can try the 64x version. It will probably work, it works on my netbook which has roughly the performance of a mainstream computer from 2002-2003.
What a Amazing texture pack. Immediately fell in love with the feeling of the pack. I have tried alot of 128X texture packs but most have not even come close to the quality of this pack. It looks really good but its extremely difficult to tell the difference between dirt, cobblestone, dark colored wools, Gravel, and Sand in the inventory. Especially when switching while fighting Mobs. But trust me it looks good but its too hard to tell the difference. Aside from that all the items, Armors, and equipment completed look awesome, matching the theme perfectly. Seriously looking forward for the finished Texture Pack.
I think this pack is incredible, especially the armors and items, but I do agree with the above user, everything is a similar light brown color and it makes the game look drab, could you maybe make an alternate grey stone version? The patterns on the blocks themselves are great its just the browness of it all.

I will surely attempt all possibilites, though I put much faith in your new 64x version. Thank you very much for your patience and therefore I shall be patient until it comes out. I dont think I have the ability to upgrade my laptop just yet, but I am seriously thinking of doing so in the future.
This Texture pack is amazing!!
But you have to update it to be competable with Minecraft 1.6.6
I think i have done something wrong, because if i have it on minecraft and it gets updated (Minecraft that is) the entyre
thing crashes and i cant play Minecraft for days. And i can`t delete it (the texturepack) because my computer says that it is running somewere.

You have to re-apply the HD patcher every time there's a minecraft update. Sometimes you have to get a new verison of the patcher if it's a major update.
Sevenfour! I DIG your texture pack man, this is some great stuff! It's Dark and Earthy adding to the realism of mining and it looks absolutely great.
There is only one thing that is a little too "Ornate" for me, and that is the glass. It's very difficult to see through, though I think the design is very nice.
Is there anyway you might consider cleaning this up just a little bit? I think you can keep the basic design while making the glass a little less opaque; OR perhaps keeping the full design and using that along the edge of the glass, keeping the center clean-ish for peering through.

I made it clearer after v3 was relased, do you want to see an image of the new texture?
This is the first 128x128 pack I've ever used(I normally stick to 32x32 and 16x16 packs) and wow, this is amazing.I just love the theme(dark, crisp and ornate)and the armor and tools are beautiful. This changed my view on HD packs completely, thank you.
Also,I noticed something:The ores have a different, darker shade of stone than the plain stone.I presume it's because you tweaked the normal stone from an older version but didn't add said tweak to the stone around the ores.I like the old stone better than the current shade of it.
I really like this pack, but here is some constructive criticism (please dont take any offense).
Everything is the same color! Well not really but there is A LOT of brown in this pack. Mix it up a little.
What are the swirls in the dirt? It is the only texture thing that bothers me besides the colors.
Other than that, I really do like this pack. It is very unique. It gives off kind of an ancient Indian or Indochinese vibe.

I actually have ver. 3 installed, but the glass is still just too...busy.
At any rate, I went in and cleaned up the glass just for myself, kind of unrealistic of me to ask you to change the work you've put so much effort into (that design IS actually rather cool, it's just too much for me).
I love the work though, it's great. I do believe I'll be continuing to use your texture pack, thanks so much for the hard work you've put into it, it really shows.
If there is a downloadable java version for this, could you direct me to it? I have never heard of this, and it sounds like it could solve the issue.

Also, sorry for not replying individually some posts but thanks for giving compliments!
I tried the link you gave me and everytime it crashes after 5 minutes, my system tells me Java Platform SE binary stopped working.
this seems to be the case everytime. I sure thought this would solve the case. Anymore suggestions if you have any?
Edit:
Yes the texture pack works there, but after a little while, with or without the texture pack, a few minutes into the game and it stops working.
I've increased the visibility more, in the next version it might be suitable for you.
