Anyway on point, default bodies wouldn't really be an issue imo. If they bothered you that much, how much effort would it be to quickly modify some place holder bodies? Like just vanilla look, but with the Char.Png cloth texture. Wouldn't be perfect, but it's be less jarring than awesome head on derp bodies. Again, it's not that big of a deal to me though.
Lastly, your zombie villager idea makes me think of this poor guy. I have no idea why.

It wouldn't be to hard. I'd basically just wrap a cape texture around them and apply some filters for a cheap placeholder.

The new screeners are Incredible, I would die for a thor HD skin to use as char.png 8), thor has been a favorite of mine since grade school.

I've just been re-reading that and chuckling for the last few minutes. A doom-i-fied testificate... there is no better design for an idiot of any sort.

Loving the updates but I've noticed a rather significant problem.
I'm not sure if it's just me but some mobs such as zombie pigmen and zombies have screwed up skins.
As in their faces are on their legs and parts of them aren't even there!

I should be home in about 2 hours, after which I'm going to get the release ready with screenshots and uploading and whatnot, and vDC 2.8 should be all set!
I may also have a smaller release for either Sunday or Monday, as I'd like to at least get the Bats (and maybe some randomized Jack o Lanterns, if my brother will get back to me with some designs) done before Halloween!

I'm going to have to go back in and redo the End Stone and Ender Portal blocks sometime, to be more fitting.
(I've been toying with the idea of giving it a CTM border, like the glass has, to give it a faked cel shaded look; and really make it stand out from the rest of the blocks.)
Also, very cool work with the new AVP stuff! I'm loving the first person wristblades!
