I really like this pack. I've been looking forever for a smooth one like this. I have only seen a few blocks and I already like it. I have yet to see the mobs but when I do I probably will like it.
EXTREMLY nice pack I love it I used to love quandary but this replaced it mostly because its kindof like it but its hq. Verry nice job keep up the goodwork.
1.4 OUT! This time the update is mostly bugs, less features. Sorry guys, but I wanted to fix random coloring, tiling, etc problems. To list a few features though, the GUIs for workbench & chest are wooden, Boats, Minecarts, & signs are finally not the defaults, and lots of various alts are out for you people that like dark wood & stone shades!
OMG I LOVE THE ALTS :biggrin.gif: Super Improvements!
Also; Dont know if i just havent noticed; But have you changed the buttons on the main screen bit? (With Single Player etc..)
I'm pretty sure that was new in this version. You can always check the Information.txt file in the zip. It has a change log. Hmm... I should probably make that well known.
Love this pack, just one thing bugs me : Snow covered grass....
that color change is killing me... maybe all snow? idk..
And random thoughts:
WildGrass support be Awesome!!
a more "Brick" sandstone? or like paved stones? Or keep it like it is, but darken the cracks in it? more pronounce?
and would love that alt. for a bit darker cheast( )
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
"Punching Trees" -> "Fun" /like/
"My Life" -> "Pointless"
Dont know if its just me; But ice has a bit missing in the corner?
Oh jeez, gotta fix that

Omg thanks so much for the ideas. I will add alts now.
Has anyone even noticed that I put something about a secret update? Well yeah, thats coming out tomorrow.
SilkCraft Medieval is here!!
I hope you guys are satisfied with the work. I'm pretty sure a lot still has to change, but I'm glad that I finally have a different styled "skin" for silkcraft now.
PLEASE post suggestions and various ideas about this.
Edit: Classic SilkCraft has a few upcoming features: bettergrass (maybe), fixed side grass for snow, sandstone blocks, probably some random tiling/coloring fixes, more mod support... These aren't out yet and will come in SilkCraft v1.5. As for future updates, I'll be updating Medieval separately as if it was a separate pack, but it will stay true to the silkcraft-feel.
Second Edit: Also, I'm leaving for 1 week on a school trip and not brining my mac. There won't be any updates anytime soon.
Well done!! The Medieval theme is off to a good start. The cheasts are well done, have never seen the pattern rotated in such a way. The metal band running in the middle is very effective. The cobblestone is also well done, its ruff, but soft without having DEEP lines in it, like some oter cobble has.
With this being the first release, you problely have a few other ideas as to what else u want to do, but I’m just to rant out a few suggestions that I’v formed in my mind.
First off: Love the deepness of the wood, its textures and grain is amazing, but the seeps a bit, idk, off? Maybe it need to be more “Brown?” like it has to much yellow in it maybe? The design in the original planks were golden, the offset pattern, which would grow as more where placed next to each other, but now it seems to tiled. Maybe offsetting like in the original?
The ladder is well done, love the nail in the bars, and was maybe thinking if u could include them in the planks as well, like they were nailed together?
Then there are the windows. Realistic speaking, medieval windows, I do believe, were expense, so people would have smaller pains with dividers, in other words, the windows would be gridded. It seems like not many people are fond of a grind running across their windows, well, I find it a nice addition.
Think the grass is perfect the way it is, just need to fix the bit with the Snow/grass.dirt thing.
The furnace is nice with its bit of trim-flare, but expand it! Make it wider! Same with the Cheast, the metal bands could possibly be wider, have sone inrecate detail in them, and run them across the top as well, cage that elephant!
Below is images if befoe-ish and after-ish, and a failed attempt of mine to redo the plank. Yep, kinda failed there, but it shows the meaning im trying to point out, along with the windows, and how one can randomly grid them.

You are the best!!! Now I know exactly what to change & improve. Personally, I think the wood is a bit dark and needs to be lightened or something. The glass will definitely have alterations of some kind. I hope to also change around the chests, furnace, noteblock (too modern), maybe crafting table. Might upload some of your screenies to the medieval page. Which is... here.
Google ftw.
got me...wow I need to read more.
I use Macromedia Fireworks...guess they got bought by Adobe?
(it's nice to be pwnt once in a while)
*edit - Apologies to Colin
"This may hurt a little, but it's something you'll get used to...."
Thanks for the great pack!
Edit now in game the look fine
Screenies of the wooden GUI:
Edit: Yes, I actually got the above legitimately

Other than that, i would def use it ^^ (when trees get fixed/changed)
I approve of this because it is difficult to actually draw/think of a good texture pack.
Here is a to keep all your complimentz :smile.gif:
Might try it tomorrow. :smile.gif:

~Thanks!
BTW - Please PM Me If You Do It. =D
Remove or edit your post. It does not pertain to SilkCraft in any way. If you had wanted to contact me a PM would have been fine instead.
sorry
