For a first pack, this is adequate. I feel that the mining block animation doesn't seem to "mine-like". I don't think when somebody mines rocks, a square starts expanding from the center. You might want to try cracks. It seems to have a bit too basic feel to it, and it would be nice if the grass blocks were less distinguishable. I prefer when grass flows together as one, then the shaded obvious edges. Save that for stone slabs. But I do like how the pumpkins are carved like creepers. The redstone wire needs to be a little thinner and wire-like, however.
Overall:
4.5/10
That's pretty good for somebody's very first pack, I suppose.
I don't really want to go with the common cracking animation, I wanted something different. I do want a better animation, however. Also, I'm not going through the pack removing the tiling part. I like how it currently looks. Also, the redstone actually looks good. I like it, at least.
Anyways, thanks for the comments. I'll try and improve the breaking animation once I get an idea for it.
This isn't that bad. Not many people recognize the work and skill it takes to make a texture pack.
MineCraft textures are more about the theme, than realism.
5/10

Thanks. It really does take some effort. I tried making one before, and gave up 25% through because it was just getting annoying. Then I made this. And it's pretty cool.
I have a new breaking animation made, and I'd like to know if anybody wanted me to upload the pack with the new breaking animation. It basically adds more and more noise to the block, giving it a crumbling kind of animation. It looks better that the boxes.

That sounds nice, I was going to suggest a kind of crumbling animation.
Edit: I was looking back at your pack, and just realized you have some really nice water. I don't think I've seen better. approves.
The only problem I have with the new animation is that the first couple are a little too subtle. It might be a bit nicer if it was evened out more.

Actually, I didn't make the water. I just had it on when I was taking the screenshots. it's part of the Painterly Pack if you want to check it out. http://painterlypack.net/index.html
Oh, also, I made a better breaking animation based on the other noise breaking one. In this one, the outline gets darker as it breaks and adds the same amount of noise each time. Testing it right now.
Are you going to edit the item.png files too? I feel that a texture pack is never complete without the items. Anyways I really like your texture pack, square designs are my favorite :smile.gif:
Seems like an Ok pack but, the one thing that annoyed me is the square getting bigger when you break stuff it just doesnt seem to fit very well and its very over used.

other then that its done pretty well
Don't worry, I made a new breaking animation, and it'll be up in the next update.

I plan to eventually. Once I have a total of 1000 downloads across all versions, I'll get started. =)
Fiftyninecraft 1.2 is now up! Update notes:
-Made fully grown wheat a bit more yellow.
-Created a new breaking animation.
-Added pack.png and pack.txt files.
-Added player skin in mob folder.
-Added Background image
how do you get the animated water and really cool texture pack :smile.gif: *Creeper approves* *Creeper approves*
The water is part of the oh so amazing Painterly Pack. If you want it for use while using my texture pack, download the Painterly Pack from http://painterlypack.net/index.html and use MCpatcher (http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?t=46173) to patch the water in. Then select my texture pack. It should work. =)
I'll actually be releasing a new update shortly, it'll include a custom tree and grass shader, paintings, and better grass.
Fiftyninecraft 1.3! I'm just spitting out updates! =D
-Awesome new grass shading! You need to use MCpatcher to use it.
-Tweaks to the grass on the terrain.png to work better with the shading.
-Custom tree shading. (Not as exciting.)
-New paintings. They're from the sig banners and screenshots.
-Adjusted inside of tree blocks. The rings are a bit lighter.
EDIT: Here's a great picture of the grass shader. I love the variation in the grass.
As a matter of personal preference, sandstone. It's cool when it looks similar to cobble, but has it's own thing. Like perpendicular stone alignment, within the texture. I dunno, just something for it.
Wow, this pack is really starting to improve. I love the new custom grass shading, nice touch.
What does the sandstone look like, anyway? I can't seem to find it on the .png.
And what are the red blocks that say "FIRE TEX"? I've seen them along with a few packs but never understood what they were.

I don't know what the fire tex blocks are, and I never noticed what they changed, so I just left them. Same with the water and lava in the corner.
Oh, and okay. I'll give sandstone a better texture. Similar to brick, while keeping that sandy quality. On it!
Edit: Okay, sandstone has a more bricked texture. I'd have to say it looks better too. At the time, I didn't know what to do with the sandstone, but it's alot better. =D

Glad you like it. Any suggestions on what I could add/fix?
