update underway: found out you can make animated terrain textures for MCPatcher. soooooo I’m making animated textures for things like torches and well.... anything that i can animate without it looking to busy, right now i got about 4 things done. Going to redo the mycelium to bee green I think so it not so BAM in your face. Might animate things that would be shiny so they twinkle or shimmer.
]expect it in the days-weeks to come, and to notice most of the changes MCPatcher will be needed.
1.0.0 V2 – the animated update
this version of the pack has 3 versions within it so some unzipping will be required. The 3 versions are as follows, the default one that has all the files need for the default game plus the randombs files and, the modded version which has all the files for the mods shown above. And the adventure one which is like the default one but the map is clear so it is readable when covered in text(how do they do that?).
What’s new:
MINOR : this update changes the look of mycelium so that it look like the grass with flowers from links awakening and is green. and the look of the furnace so that the lower half has a larger opening. And a few little colour changes
Major: the torches, redstone torches, cake, mycelium, furnace and anything else I might have forgot are now animated so when you use the HD patcher they well are animated if that option is selected I personally recommend it.as well as update the pack its self to include the new things for release 11w49a(11w50a)
working on a few more textures fixing a couple of contrast things (portals) and all round sprucing up the pack so that when you use the patcher with animated textures it looks good. and making a few more alternative textures as well. and the next download will include another version where animated textures are not present to save preformance. so that 4 pre made variants for people to use
PACK UPDATE:
new animated textures. making almost full use of the custom colours mod, more refined textures. and all around awesomeness. also will post updated picture once image shack start working again.
ill be putting out a update later in the week i hope that updates the pack to the newest snapshot and changes a few of the animations like the gistereing melon...i hate the one i did right now.
Ok I’m going to post an update on ...Monday. Yeah Monday and right now where I live its Saturday at 1:29 AM I have all the files for the update but I want to tweak some of the animations and colour settings. Right now I’m working on material blocks and glow stone and stuff. i want to make pretty animations that do not take away from the look of links awakening but at not to ...bitty that they look ugly. so just so you know.
The way the glowing parts of spiders has changed I think.
The spider textures now glow all over in white at night.
Would be awesome if you could fix it so only the eye glows.
actually originally I had made it so in the day time they were the colour they are now but at night they are the color when there taking damage in links awakening all red and yellow but since mojang tweaked the way the spider eyes texture was applied it has never looked right. I might consider changing it to something different but I’m not sure what.
Also are you using the patcher. That fixes the bug and makes it not so noticeable.

What’s new
Minecraft pocket edition version of the pack called Link’s Pocket. Installing the texture pack for pocket edition is not hard. use SPAHX'S tutorial. and I can not say this enough BACK UP YOUR POCKET EDITION BEFORE TRYING TO USE THIS OR ANY OTHER PACK.

Added new animated textures to the basic version. Only the ones that are directly from Link’s Awakening torches the cake. Ect.
Also new lighting files for a bit more emersion loosely based off of Summerville.

i had done like 99% of the work to update. but then I had a pretty bad system crash so i have to find a old backup. yay technology. might be a update by next weekend. hopefully.
New wood planks textures. For birch and pine it is the traditional texture re done in their colour scheme similar to that of The premium wood mod. The new sand stone textures based off of the pillars you see in underground areas. The jungle wood planks use the same texture as the gold blocks. Should be good for flooring. New animations for all of the iron gold and diamond tools
What’s changed?
The main inventory menu has had a slight touch up. And the a for the hot bar has been moved over so it is easier to tell what item is selected on the hot bar the jungle tree trunk has been modified slightly. Not to noticeable mainly just a colour change. Also I tweaked the repeater textures. Also modified the swords to have wooden handles.
I figured since I had to make you all wait until I got my computer back up and running I might as well add more to the pack. This is why there are more animated textures.
Couple things tho
- It may be a good idea to redo the regular sandstone so it matches the variants.
-The blaze texture doesn't really look great. Maybe leaving the red smokey stuff but remove the clown and replace it with a Stalfos skull or something. Maybe replace it with that weird flashy thing that rolled around dungeons and could only be damaged with the boomerang.
-I think I'll be removing the mycellium animation, it's really hard on the eyes and gives me a headache when it's an area bigger than 5x5 blocks.
The blaze is supposed to be the clown boss. You know that throws fire balls at you. Like the blaze does. I usually try and pick textures that relate to links awakening. That’s why the sheep is the enemy you remove the helmet from.
When I was making the new smooth sandstone I was trying to make it fit with the old one but. Well I guess I did not do a good enough job. If only they gave the new ones a custom top and bottom because that would solve a lot of problems. I think the thing throwing them off is the green from the old one. But I personally like the old sandstone better than the smooth one.
As for the mycelium animation. I think I might make a variant where the flowers are a green color so it is not so hard on the eyes but the default will remain the way it is. I had made it that way for a very specific purpose. I was at one point trying to remake the island from the game but school got in the way. Only a few weeks left then summer break so I will be able to devote more time to it then hopefully. And I was worried that other people might not like the animated mycelium since it does have such contrasting colours.
All in all I will take your suggestions into consideration for alternate textures but probably won't change the default unless a make a texture I really like. If you have any more suggestions feel free to throw them my way.

uhm . why are you on the minecraft forums if you don't know how to play minecraft. not being a **** or anything but.
ok so you unzip thew file. assuming you are using windows 7. click the start menu. type in %appdata% hit enter. go into the .minecraft folder. copy the folders from within the archive into the texture packs folder. run the game. if you want you can use optifine or the hd patcher to get the full effect with animated textures and what not. if this does not help please google how to install minecraft texture packs. since this is all this is. a texture pack for a game not a game onto its self.

The sandstone and mycelium textures have been edited. The old sand stone texture has had its green replaces with the same brown from the new sand stone. Moved the top of the old sandstone texture to the bottom and made the top match the new sandstone better. The mycelium has had the grey replaced with a green colour so the contrast is not so hard on the eye. I will hopefully be working on more alternate sandstone textures in the future as well as making the customizer up to date.
