Yay, this also fixed the annoyance where it would crash if default was not selected on startup.
Aside from the font crash bug, what is next? Cause most of the bugs have been worked out it seems.
True. But that's a good thing. Honestly, we're all better off if people like that can't get onto SMP - because they tend to be the griefers and the ones who sling hate speech left and right. Sadly enough, it's too easy for people like that to breed, let alone get online. Both processes should require some sort of skill-testing questions. :smile.gif:
But I digress. Love the new patcher - made it so much easier for me to get my son back onto MC with his recently reformatted computer.

Actually explain on how to use it or make a tutorial. I have no idea how to use this. Xau's was much simpler. I don't know what to do with the texture pack. Yes, I've read the entire post.
This is incredible. Thank you for this, works 100% perfectly for me.

The explanation is right in the OP you supposedly read.

double click the jar to run patcher...click patch... put all texture packs into minecraft texturepack folder.. use menu in minecraft to change packs

I don't see why it's so hard for people to figure this out.
Personally I think this is 10x better than the original, both in simplicity and functionality.

I was one of the first to download it...and didn't need an explanation...was pretty easy to use common sense

I did exactaly what he said. I patched, put the texture pack (Misa HD) into .minecraft/texturepacks, and opened minecraft. I went to Mods and Texturepacks and clicked "Misa190.zip" and nothing happened. Played my world, no difference. I don't know what's wrong, I don't use mods.
You don't put this patcher in the minecraft folder anywhere - you just RUN it and it will enable the functionality.
THEN you can put texture packs in the folder.

You misunderstood me. I meant, I opened the patcher, clicked patch, placed the texturepack into the .minecraft/texturepacks folder, and ran minecraft. There were no changes.

just tested Misas pack...worked fine
edit: it takes a min to switch resolutions when you click the pack..did you wait for it to change the background?

Than would you explain to me in detail how I use the patcher?
I did.. in detail..it's that simple. if the pack isn't working for you...unzip it, take out the alternates file, rezip it and then try it not working with extra files in it is a known bug which has been adressed previously by me actually.
Okay, I have opened the jar file, patched minecraft, moved Misa190.zip into the minecraft texturepack folder. I ran minecraft and changed it to Misa190.zip. Still nothing is happening. Do you want me to post the log?
Edit: Found the issue, my Misa190 folder had the EXACT same files as the default minecraft files. I don't know how, but I re-downloaded it and I'm going to try it.

Working great so far. Tested with several texture packs and works great. Awesome work chief.

THANK YOU!
