for some reason my modified version of the Gerudoku pack isn't working. It shows up in the texture pack list but it is grayed out and nothing happens if I select it. But if I use the one I got from the forum it works fine :-/ Any suggestions?

Hi guys, I downloaded the patcher and the Gerudoku pack seems to work fine, but the Faithful 32x32 pack isn't. I checked to make sure there were no zip files within the zip and there weren't any. Could anybody else check to see if these texture pack works for them or if it's just me. If it's just me then could you tell me what sorts of things to check that might cause the problem.

I tested it. worked for me.. not at first.. but what I did was run the JAR file.. there was no option to choose the latest HD pack. I then patched it without choosing anything. After that I opened up the original EXE version of the patcher and used the older misa181.zip texture pack and used the mcpatcher-1.1.12_02.exe file like normal with all the animations etc etc default and it worked fine. Weird how that JAR file on this thread made this work.
Odd, i have custom_water_still.png that was working fine before 1.4 update (when i didn't use the 2.0 patcher) but now it doesn't use it at all :sad.gif:
Should they be in a new folder? mine are just at the root with the terrain.png
The intent is for custom_*.png to work exactly the same as the old patcher. Just to make sure, are you saying you only have custom_water_still.png and not custom_water_flow.png? If that's the case, then I know what the problem is. I didn't realize some packs had one and not the other, so I was checking for both before enabling custom water. No reason it shouldn't work though. I'll fix it in the next update.

So this patcher is going to replace the old one in the long run? And it's already up to speed for 1.4, just need updated textures?
Yes and yes. I don't want to get rid of 1.x until I'm sure 2.x can fully replace it. Even then, I expect the old patcher will continue to work for quite a while without any updates. (For amusement, try patching older versions of the game with the latest patchers and see how far back you can go before it breaks.)

No comment about custom fire from terrain.png not working, which I posted? :sad.gif:
Sorry, just forgot to mention it. I hope to fix all three. I'll add it to the OP.

I'm sure you have your own life to attend to, but if you can, please either fix this or update the old version ASAP! My two favourite texture packs... Gone... :'(
EDIT: My bad, didn't realise that Mixcraft packs were inside the zip. Still no joy with HDcraft though.
There are a few packs that seem to crash the Mods and Texture Packs screen simply by being in the folder, but I haven't figured out what they have in common yet. I'll have more time to look into this over the weekend. But keep posting if you find particular packs that crash consistently.
HDCraft works for me with the old patcher. No update to the old patcher was required for 1.4. Two things: Make sure you're using version 1.1.12_02 and set the game back to the default textures (options.txt should say skin:Default).
Go ahead, call me stupid. But i cant seem to get this to work. The old patcher was easier for me since all you had to do is click browse on the Texture Pack file. But with this one i can't seem to find out where to put the texture pack at all. i read through all the posts and what not, and threw the texture pack i wanted into the texture pack folder, But nothing. Please help my stupidness. <3

Don't worry they just changed it so you can use the game's own texture mod browser. Put the texture pack zip in \AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\texturepacks folder and pick your pack from the menu in Minecraft. Cool feature imo.

Thanks! I was trying to use it with one of GeruDokus' newer remixes... and after i sorted out the files in the .zip it all started working. Thanks again!
So has anybody tried this version of the patcher with the Faithful 32x32 texture pack yet? I just need to know if anybody else is having problems with that texture pack or if it's just me.

Umm... i'm new here but i had experience with the first patcher... Right now I have no idea how to use this.. Some body help me
Funkaywizard just explained it to me, you take the texture pack that you want and throw it in your texture pack folder, to get there, at least how i get there is clicking the start menu, clicking run and then type (%appdata%) without the parenthesis. then all you do it click on the patcher, click patch, run minecraft and change the texture pack from the menu there. (If you're using Gerudoku like i was, make sure that you don't have two sets of the texture pack info in the .zip file) That was my issue atleast. Make sure that when you open the .zip file of your texture pack it goes right to the page where it says armor environment etc. Maybe other people didn't have to do that.. but thats what i had to do.
did you zip the files in a folder?

Yes, I compressed the folder into a .zip file.
