Can i get a response on on when the 1.5_1 update is coming out for this texture pack.
I ask because this is the best texture pack i have found so far. also, when i designed my minecraft house it was in this texture pack and now on the default textures it looks terrible. LOL
I updated the pack for version 1.5! The terrain has all the new bits now, and I also made custom snow and rain effects. Unfortunately, I haven't finished the armor yet, but at least I did include the custom character skin now.
You can find the download on the first page as per usual.
Very beautiful pack. I d/led the Painterly pack and was pleased with some things but not others, and felt a little confused in my own world. The detail you gave to your pack wasn't overbearing, but was unique and I didn't feel lost. I look forward to the completion of it.
NOTE: I recommend that you install this pack with an unpatched version of Minecraft. If you want to use the HD patcher, make sure to UNCHECK custom water and lava. Otherwise, the water and lava will show up as a solid beige color.
Or you could remove the unneeded checkers in your terrain.png and include the default water and lava textures.

Maybe that would be too convenient.
In that case you would end up with unanimated water and lava, which still wouldn't look good.
Also, I want all of the textures on the sheet to be my own work. I don't want to redistribute any pieces of Notch's work if I can avoid it.
I've been using your pack for a while now, and I just realized that I never really got around to commenting. Oops.
In any case, I really love this pack-- 16x has always given me trouble with the lack of available 'work space', so to speak, but you managed to make everything look really nice, especially the dispenser and book shelves. Did you make larger drawings and then scale them down, or go pixel by pixel?
I'm not very fond of the grass color, though-- a little too blue and a little too harsh.

I went pixel by pixel. In my experience with low resolution textures, you can get the most detail working at the final size, tweaking patiently at a pixel level. When you draw the image larger and then scale it down, the result tends to get really blurry and undefined.
I started a new job two weeks ago, so progress has slowed down quite a bit.
Thank you! :biggrin.gif:

Just read you were gonna fix the armor* awesome =]
Custom water only works with the HD patcher. I wanted the texture pack to be compatible with default Minecraft.
I may still make custom water, but it would be a last step.

Your sand, on the other hand, is superb!
