Hey, i think i might use this altho it will probs slow down the game alot. Stupid laptop. Anyways i was thinking maybe the redstone circuits could become more like wires wrapped around with a black tie or something. The only problem would be showing when its on or off. But if you like the idea ill try to think of something
THX.
So something like that but obviously red
I was actually thinking about these kind of wires the other day as I do like the idea for realism. The only issue that was conflicting was by putting powder on the ground somehow makes wires. It has certainly crossed my mind and we'll see what happens in the next few days when I fiddle with it.

wow. I wanted to stay at 64 posts and keep my "full stack" title but I just HAD to compliment you on your birch trees and how good you made them look.
Thank you. Birch trees are one of my favorite types so it was pretty amazing to be able to texture them. This may be why they look so good. =)

Yer true. If you do go with it tho some will have to be black aswell electricity needs a positive and a negative.

Well, I quickly whipped this up from google and made a semi-seamless texture. Needs refinement, but is this the direction you were looking at?
Well, it has not worked for me so far. My experience on texture packs is null, so it's probably that.
I run the patcher and select the LB "Realism Pack 1.2" rar file, patch and the run the game. It doesn't crash but the textures don't install (or at least don't change) either. My version is beta 1.2_01.

I myself haven't had that way work either. I always extract the rar file using Winrar or a similar program. Then, I click and drag the contents into the Minecraft jar file located in the bin folder. You can open the jar file using Winrar as well. This may not be a proper troubleshoot, but it's always worked for me.
C:\Users\-Yourcomputer'sname-\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin
Put that into the explorer bar in somelike the "my computer" and fill the name in with your computer's name. I'm running Windows 7, but it should be similar for Vista. It's been to long to remember what the XP version would be
Sorry if this doesn't work for you and hopefully somebody can help you out.

for xp its C:\documents and settings\username\local settings\application data\roaming\.minecraft change username to username. lol
I am having trouble getting it to work. I have extracted the files, did the patches and such yet I do not see the texturepack in the game. Help please?

I had the same issue, i just extracted an existing pack, then extracted LB, copy pasted LB into the same folder as the other pack, then repacked the edit into whatever you want to name it and it worked for me. Must a be a file in there somewhere our game didnt like. =) hope that helps

Interesting, I'll look into what the issue may be.

Hey great texture you got here. I think the water needs to be a bit darker to match the atmosphere. Oh yeah also the dirt soil looks like a piece of chocalate cake or brownie! haha..love it.

I can see what your saying with the water, but now I'm not going to look at my dirt the same... :wink.gif:
Any suggestions to make my dirt less... Delicious?
The dirt is fine by me. I see that you updated the minerals on the last three right.. the first two, (gold & iron) looks the same. Maybe make them pop out more by having more light to it and adding a bit shine to it like the rest of the minerals and the clouds it has like square-ish outlines don't know if you're aware of that

The cloud issue is because the "fancy" graphics attempt to create 3D clouds and since many of the clouds have softer edges, it creates a solid white block to compensate... Because this is just a texture pack, I won't be messing around with the java scripts.
I did indeed improve upon the minerals and even added very soft color dodges to the gold and iron to see if they pop out even more. That will come within the next update which actually textures most, if not all, of the beta 1.2 textures.
You could maybe change the redstone dust to wires but that would be weird. Anyways so are u gonna make them wires or leave them as is?
I'm not entirely sure. I have changed the dust to wires, but like you said, it looked a bit off. In any case, I could possibly enhance or modify the current dust texture to make it thinner and more noticeable when it's "powered".
I don't know what I am doing wrong. I have extracted the LB pack and put it in my bin folder, and have used mcpatcher to patch the rar file. I know I am most likely doing it wrong so if someone would be kind enough to explain it to me I would be very appreciative, because it looks like this is a very beautiful texture pack.

Yer, maybe make the white red but that is perfect. Now to think of a way to excuse dust becoming wires
EDIT: you could make the wires glow to indicate that they are on.
