Ah, I just noticed that the torch's flames were always rendered at a distance. The new coal torches just exaggerated it. Switched to the old ones and now it looks just as good as before!
Just out of curiosity, how far are you with the leather/iron/diamond armors being redone?
Gold looks pretty great, I can't wait for the others to be done.

Diamond is done, though I need to tweak it a bit to match the newer icons.
Iron and leather have no headway, I'll try to get those out by 1.7.

I've used this texture pack for a while and I must compliment you on it, it is absolutely amazing. I've tried tons of other packs, and this one was the only one I liked, and now I use it all the time :biggrin.gif: Keep up the good work
Very nice pack. I usually only like very clean 16x or a nice detailed 32x, but your work on the 16x size is amazing.
It is a wonderfull improvement on the original textures, and it still gives that feeling of a fresh minecraft intall, but without all the noise I came to hate so much on the original texture. I also love your choice of serene and bright colors where it needs to be. Mad props to you sir!

Despite myself being rather dark in taste and liking desaturated colors,
I've always found that those moods are even better when used subtly and in contrast,
by using realistic tones.
I've tried to make it when night falls, for the mobs to be as creepy as I could make them.
Then when day comes, everything is beautiful and serene again.
This is by far my favourite texture pack of all. It's beautifully done, and well thought out.
Loving every part of this pack, except for just two things:
Please, change the animal's eyes. They look empty and creepy, which doesn't really fit this pack's theme.
Pink tips on the flame texture. I really preferred the pre-1.5 look.
Apart from that, keep up all your amazing work. I'm a massive fan of this pack.

Aww but I think it looks cute.

I love this texture pack, it's great! The only one I've so far seen that I've bothered to install. I especially like the interfaces (smelting, inventory, etc.) I'd like to know what that little text up in the corner of the smelting screen is supposed to mean, though.
Keep up the (damn good) work! Diamonds to you, sir!
The text in the upper right is, I assume, how many items a unit of fuel can smelt.
Hmm... looks like it. I see a Lava Bucket there with "100" beside it anyway, so that must be it. =D
EDIT: oh, and while I'm posting this, my favourite thing about the pack is the new breaking animation that's all spirally. =D
EDIT2: Disethas, take a look at this mod. It's the connected Textures mod, and I'd like you to submit your the textures of your glass/bookcases/chests/etc. for inclusion in the mod so I can use it! Take a look at the thread and think about it. =)
Hey, just a heads up.
The recent Optimine+Optifog+HD Textures combination doesn't seem to use the custom water found in terrain.png, so I'm still getting the bright ass blue water from the default game.
However, the custom water/lava flowing/still strips that you can use still work, as Painterly seems to still use it.
Just thought you should know, in case you're interested in using better custom water animations.
I personally prefer using Netherrack to light my burrow, but the torches do look good.
The only texture pack you'll ever need.

To show this unscheduled change, I've added a small tally next to the 1.6 in the logo.
Zombies are gaunt! Spiders glow UV! Skeletons are intimidating!
Zombie Pigmen avert gore without silly green blood!
I don't like custom biome shading, though. But easy enough to fix.

Huh, that's not intended. I'll fix that.
