You might want to change the texture of hoed dirt and wheat as they are somewhat unclear/vague.
Other than that, this is an amazing texture pack :smile.gif:
I like the gui in this. I'm upscaling it and using it in my pack (it's just for my personal use, so I'm not being a **** and just taking it without permission, lol. Admittedly, it would be cool to have permission to do so should I ever want to post the pack, hint hint.)
Thought I should let you know, though, you can still see a little of the default menu in trap.png, in the upper left corner. It probably isn't that noticeable, but still, you should probably do something about it next release.
Other than that, I can't say much as I only played with it long enough to get a good look at the gui. I liked what I saw, but I didn't look around much. I'll do it later, though.
Edit: All in all, I really like it. My only gripes are that the foliage often has a jarring change in color, where only half the tree is red or orange and the rest is green, and that the water needs to be a little more transparent IMO. I edited it in gimp to be 20% less opaque and thought that looked better. So while that could use a bit of work, it's otherwise a nice texture pack that stays true to the original textures (while not being ugly).
Also, I'm curious: I noticed that the grass is green in the terrain.png. Normally, it's grayscale, and grasscolor.png is darker. I'm not sure how it works, but with the biome colors, is the color of grass color.png added to whatever color the texture is?
I am using a different gui though, as I don't really dig the high contrast theme.
Actually, the gui that comes as default is not the gui mentioned in the preface.
It's this:

PS: Two more suggestions:
- Add another version with stone brick for cobble
I'm actually planning to add brick cobble, although I dislike it myself. There will also an alternate iron door with a slit in it.

- This pack might be misunderstood as being intended for xenophobes. Change the breaking animation as it looks an awful lot like a swastika
I think it's more like the spore logo, really. More intended for xenophiles.

You're welcome to use anything in my pack as long as I'm accredited.

I've noticed the sudden change in leaves but I haven't really thought of a way to fix it other than blurring the gradient, which I don't want to do. As for the water, I made it a bit more opaque to make the surface seem more like water in real life.

The grass gradient is pure white. No change in color throughout the map. This is because of the fact the the sides of grass are a different color than the top.
I just can't stand for it, so I made the patched version totally blank.
In the unpatched version, it just takes a tinge of the biome, added on top of my color of grass. Usually results in a darker color, but it looks fine, relatively.
Nice rapidfire question answering there, Disethas :tongue.gif: I gotta say, I've been looking for a smooth 16x16 texture pack, and this one fits exactly what I want. It's not too cartoony, but still plays the part. You did real well, I look forward to seeing more out of this :smile.gif:
One issue I've had though was the target reticule. On full screen, there's a 1 pixel wide gray line running down the right side, probably interfering with the texture right next to it in the pack? Anyway, not much of an issue, but a bug's a bug :smile.gif:

Weird, I've never had that problem in any of my versions. Try reinstalling on a clean /bin?
It's gotta be said, your grass and dirt are the best I have EVER seen :smile.gif:
So nice to see a different way of approaching the dirt as apposed to just adding noise to random brown colour!
Now, I use/lovelovelove this texture pack, and it's awesome that you're going to redo the items. Could you do the chainmail as well? Not many packs do that, and I only assume it's because it's not accessible normally. The SMP server I'm plans to make it easily craftable, and I for one would appreciate it if you could take a stab at it.

Notch-o cheese to debut in b1.6, along with Herobrine and dragons.
cool,i love this,i can look at minecraft and my eyes wont bleed now!
i made some edits to it though,i fixed the normal pumpkin,no more carved face when its naturally growing, crying obsidian texture replaced obsidian's original texture, and was made purple, water is a bit more teal/green-blue,biome side-grass fix and added a window to the iron door,red-er moon, red velvet cake with cream-cheese icing, and lastly,SOLID black disc slot on the record player :biggrin.gif:
First I have to say, I love this pack. It's crips, clear and has very good contrast.
Then I have to say I wish, personally, that you would add some sort of version numbering to your pack. Since I'm an update ***** and that would make it easier for people to quickly check if it's been updated. Just a small suggestion. Keep up the good work!

Cube Craft, a simple pack by me!
And here's the squid.
As in it's hard to tell the wheat is ready to harvest?
Okay, I'll make the final wheat much more saturated. I was thinking about that at one point.

Thanks for all the feedback!
There were no major graphical alterations between 1.4 and 1.4_01.
It works fine.

Very smexy.
I'm actually working on completely respriting all the items this week.
I'm also working on getting the rest of the 'fixed' paintings out.
I sorta toyed with the idea of making a higher res version of this pack, but until I finish this version, I should focus on this one.
