I remember suggesting 4 pixels in the eyes. it definitely improves the cuteness.
The Painterly Pack's wolf is blackish brown. Which i don't think is fitting here, as Coterie Craft is a more default looking pack. Also the eyes aren't white. They're kind of have a blue tint, which make them look like they have glasses. I also don't like the tongue. It's just doesn't look right.
I prefer the Coterie Crafts one.
Some improvements could be to make the collar more of a bright red.
A little bit white. So the wolf looks cleaner.
If you can, maybe a smile?
That's my opinion.
I think the Painterly wolves look kind of goofy, which is actually pretty nice. Your wolves are closer to default, but they look bored. I like fun-looking wolves, a smiling wolf would look nice.
I actually prefer the Coterie wolves. As far as cute factor, the 3 pixel eyes look much more expectant - like they're excited to see you. The 4 pixel just look too strange to me.
Also, a quick thanks for this tex pack. I really love how simple it is.

Just came home from school, so I'm working on it right now!

Awesome update. A couple of suggestions tho.
1: I think there is a pixel missing from the stone sword texture.
2: The sand and sandstone need to look a little bit more different.
Other than that, this is probably my favorite texture pack right now

And it's available. Thanks for being awesome. Favourite texture pack by far, and it's 16x16 so I don't need to wait for xau or anything :smile.gif:

You all are very very welcome!
Its praise like this that makes me know that I'm doing a fantastic job with the pack. And as much as I love to hear criticism in an effort to improve the pack, its praise like this that makes it all worth while. :biggrin.gif:
@The_White2086: The stone sword texture is chipped on purpose, but if a stone sword with better craftsmanship is what you favor, then I'll fix that sprite for ya. Regarding the sand and sandstone, I would probably go into refining the sandstone, but not so much since those textures are closely related to nature, so I'll consider it unless otherwise.

the painterly wolves might look cuter, but please keep the lighter colour! the painterly fur looks ugly
Quote from Gaander »
I like the lighter color for the wolves, but 4px Eyes from painterly are cute (for tamed wolves only!).
Quote from Dat_Chico »
yea...i think the 4 pixel eyes look better
in my opinion, coterie's is better
Improvements i would like:
A happier wolf
a bit cleaner wolf
a blue collar maybe? or to keep the originality, i wouldnt mind how it is
Quote from Unmoved »
I like the Coterie wolves the way they are :<
Quote from DEUS »
The painterly wolves are pretty cool, save for their faces. They ruin it for me. Otherwise I'd prefer them over the default white ones.
So... about the wolves... this is how I think the refinement will commence:
-A happier wolf (respectively for the tamed wolf). Smiling wolf for the win!
-Keeping the lighter color and the 3 pixeled eyes.
-Better and brighter collar.
And Notch should really check into dyeing your wolf's collars... but its not a game changing issue. :tongue.gif:
Thanks! Any other opinions?

Maybe Notch should make it where you can dye your wolf's collar.
(Back to work!) :ohmy.gif:
After I update, I'll check it out.
Hooray! NEW server! :biggrin.gif:

Since I have arrived home after school, you can bet that I'm working as fast as possible to get it done.
(I fixed side grass just earlier along with a LOT of other stuff pertaining to Beta 1.5, so I'm going to upload soon)
Be ready for Beta 1.5! I'm ready!
