I love this texture, but my grass texture top looks like stone. Is that wrong???
Is the grass gray?
If so, I suppose you could delete your .minecraft folder once you've put your world saves, mods, ect. in a safe place so that you can download minecraft back to its regular state, insert all your stuff back where it belongs, and you should have the grass back to normal.
(unless someone knows a more efficient way.)

No not the default texture, your texture is the one with the gray stone-ish texture on top of the grass.

It is gray because of biome compliancy. Which effects the surface of grass as well as the leaves on the trees. So in your case somehow you turned it off, which I really have no idea how this happens. It may be from certain mods or the possibility that it is a mac problem (if you are using a mac, of course).

First thing I would suggest doing is making sure you have the latest version of BoQ. Actually, it's probably best to delete BoQ from your texturepacks folder, then download the latest version and toss it in.
Secondly, the easiest way to reset Minecraft is to delete a file called "version" that is located in your .minecraft/bin folder. Assuming you aren't using a hacked client, it will download all the game files again. This should clear out any problems.
Likeliest reasons for this problem:
1. You are using an outdated version of Best of Quandary. (Solved by getting latest version.)
2. You've manually replaced the grasscolor.png in minecraft.jar. (Solved by redownloading the game files.)
3. You are using an outdated version of the game. (Solved by paying for an account.)

You guessed it! I am using a mac, no mods though.

So download 3.1_01 is up.
Hoping that the grass is back to where it should be. So there should be no more gray any longer...
So, I downloaded the latest version of the texture pack (3.1_01) without reading about what was included. Then I saw the wood. It...doesn't really look like wood anymore. It's very neat looking, and I like that, but the wood doesn't look like wood planks, it looks like somebody drew lines on a piece of cardboard. Could you keep the planks looking planklike (like in the original style), just not so gritty looking? < As in, smooth the texture, not overhaul it.
Also, I saw the new character inventory screen. And I had a reaction to it.
The terrain.png pic in the top right corner the grass is gray. Hope that info helps.
So you have tried other 16-bit texture packs, correct? (I read your earlier post(s), but I just want to be sure.)
EDIT: Are you using this texture pack on an old world? If so, this may be the problem. (but I'm just guessing.)
Or... I can provide a separate download for those with gray grass and leaves, which concerns many mac users. But this is temporary until there is a fix. (Anyone out there who knows the answer, please speak.)

EDIT: Actually, best off just including the foliagecolor.png and grasscolor.png and leave the rest of the files from /misc folder out of it.
Also, this pack keeps on getting better and better.
Thanks for the help. :biggrin.gif:
And like I say in my signature. This texture pack is a progression to perfection!

Still gray. Don't know what else to say.
EDIT: And is this the only texture pack that doesn't work, or do you have a similar problem with others?
Yes I am putting the zip file in the texturepacks folder. This is the only texture pack that it's happening on.
Also, I saw the new character inventory screen. And I had a reaction to it.
Honestly, I just don't know. I've looked over the pack and nothing looks out of place to me. Sorry, you've got me stumped. :sad.gif:

The grass is gray on two multi-player worlds and a 20.00 MB single player. No gray grass on other textures I've used.(Quandary,Painterly and Default)
Both Quandary and Painterly (usually) don't use biome compliant grass textures. So, this problem may not be unique to BoQ.
Would you mind trying out Eldpack or Frenden's Pack and seeing if the problem persists?
I will try them out now.
