The mission behind this pack, when I started it, was the removal of recolors. For example, bedrock being a recolor of stone. As I worked on it, I also decided to modify non-recolors and even create some brand new textures to make the game look better without departing from the original art style. Note that (almost) all new textures use the same colors as the original textures.
This is the Minecraft you're familiar with, just a bit better.
The notable changes:
Bedazzling blocks!
Many blocks have been changed to fix ugliness, from removing lazy-random-noise blocks to making all the ores distinct from one another.
List of changes:
This list is probably outdated because I forgot to update them over the last few updates. I'm working on a better-looking post anyway, so just bear with me.

I can't see the difference between this cobble and default cobble, but it still feels better, without cheating and making it perfect (I'm looking at you, [every other texture pack's name here]).
the tools do not look good. no amount of fancy descriptions can change that.
MOD EDIT: This user was reported for flaming. The criticism isn't useful at all, but it's reasonable feedback.
However, Captain Crazy, you should still improve your feedback/criticism. Otherwise, you're just wasting time and annoying people.

Truly? How fascinating! Since we are clearly in the presence of a pixel connoisseur of a magnitude we cannot comprehend, perhaps he can reveal to us the deep-seated imperfections that lie hidden in my work!
I love packs where rather than completely changing everything they simply upgrade from the original. Nice work, especially with the cobblestone and pumpkins.
This is just beautiful! I love most kinds of texture packs but simple ones like this that just make the world better to look at are always my top favorite!!! Thank you for taking the time to make such a lovely pack!!!
<-- To keep your dragon fed while you work.
<-- And a diamond to put into your growing diamond pile!
Looks like I gotta pick between nonconstructive criticism and nonconstructive praise.
Have an update, you crazy people you.
Useless criticism:
Just when i was about to say "there is no grass in here... craaaap!!!!!" You update and brings us the magical benefits of grass... HORRAY!!!

This is something you should be considering even before posting the texture...
I like this texture even though i don't particularly like the diamond tools, particularly the axe and the shovel... those two look very weird... they barely resemble an axe and a shovel... Also... the hoe looks like another pick axe...
This is a very nice idea. Notch's default textures are a bit lazy, and this remedies that without making any major changes to style. My only criticism is the gravel; the pebbles on the texture look more like bubbles than anything.

MAH.
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODNESSSSSSSSS.
This is the first (unfinished) texture pack in a while that I actually like.
Gold n' Diamond sammich for you.
Good job. I still think gravel is ugly though. But I hate gravel in any form so I'm biased.
See it now?
The first update is touchdown! Shiny!
