Arc mining is a mining progress meter thats easy to see in low light conditions when you're deep underground and looks good doing it. High contrast black and white elements show up well on any block. It's also translucent so you can see just where to hit that diamond.
There are 16,32,64 and 128 pixel versions in the download zip file. I've also created a version that is already placed on the default terrain.png file ( 16 px ) for those that aren't familiar with editing their terrain file. Here are a couple sample clips.
how do you install it. I am using the default terrain.png. Please help this is so awsome
To install this you just need to open your minecraft.jar with winrar or 7zip and copy the terrain.png file to your desktop then open the terrain.png with paint.net or another image editor that supports transparent pngs and paste this png over the current progress cracks area. Drag the modified terrain.png back into your winrar opened minecraft.jar and accept the changes then close winrar.
I'll upload a default terrain.png file with the progress bar for those that want this but arent familiar with editing their terrain file to use. Thanks for giving me the idea.
EDIT: It's in the OP now CRAZYTickster. Let me know if you have any trouble installing it.

Any chance of a healthbar at the bottom/left/right/top? Or making an arc in one of the corners ?
That would take quite a bit of coding. It may be possible, but not for me to do. You might make a request post.

Great mod, really useful.
Better than that fuggy terrain.
Thanks IMNoob, glad you like something I made. But you can keep your criticism constructive or to yourself.

It's so simple, yet it adds a charm to the game :smile.gif:.
