Sounds like a personal problem! Ha ha!
seriously, one of the older versions had different ore from an earlier build of doku's, so you could try using them instead (you'd have to copy the textures in yourself though) http://imgur.com/pnUPu.png
not sure what's causing the ores to "make your skin crawl" though, so that might not help. is it because they look too organic? too much like one of those creepy lotus flower seedpods?
at any rate, there's no pleasing everybody, sorry :biggrin.gif:
I just installed the texture pack by dragging all the files into a folder with mineraft, like i did with painterly, and everything works fine, except water and lava. There is no flow. How would i go about fixing this?
Call me an idiot or w/e, but did notch add a dimming effect when you are somewhere dark or did the texture pack do that? It's annoying because I get tunnel vision from the damn thing.

Notch added it; the file is vignette.png in the misc folder. I think it's a pretty neat effect, but if you don't want it you could always make the file fully transparent.

Can you make an addon that depicts the Halo HUD please?
Do i have to install all of this to make the lava and water work?
Not sure what you mean exactly. You can use the custom water and custom lava files from this pack with a different texture pack if you want, you just have to copy them to the right places. You just have to install whatever textures you use with xau's patcher in order to make the custom water/lava animations work.
It sounds like he might not be able to get an update out until early next week, so at least you can use the pack (without custom water/lava unfortunately) until it's fixed.
Nice! I've actually been looking for some alternate ore block textures for people who like to build stuff with them (cheaters) so I will almost certainly use some part of those in my next version :biggrin.gif:

Hmm i'm no cheater but I do have tons of iron and a fair amount of gold I wouldn't mind using, also I would love more paintings(Though not necessary)
Also, any idea when better grass will be fixed? I just started to fall in love with it.
Hmm not sure if it's affecting everyone, but after the most recent update all I receive when I install the texture pack is a black screen after log in. Worked before, but now it won't T-T
I don't know why these things are like that, I didn't edit anything. It was just like this when I downloaded it. My friend got the texture pack and had the same problems. So please reply and help fix these problems.
"ketchupyesman", all of your complaints would be resolved if you install GERUDOKU correctly using the installation instructions in the first post of this thread (you need to use the latest version of xau's patcher to fix all that stuff)
Cows and pigs do look a bit weird, but I haven't seen any HD skins for them that look better. I am open to suggestions, of course :wink.gif:
If anyone is having trouble getting the patcher to work after the recent updates (blackscreen, etc) I recommend checking the HD Patcher thread, they'll be able to troubleshoot better than I can
ASUK, that minecart skin looks very promising... could you please post a screenshot of how it looks ingame?
I'm visiting the family until tomorrow, so I won't be able to start looking at changes until sunday at the latest, but I'd like to get some kind of new release out early this coming week.

(the "hud" image was made by Dusty who copied it from Metroid Prime)

I won't, but I think somebody in this thread did ---> viewtopic.php?f=25&t=74743&start=120

Edit: Never mind, putting the .zip in the texture packs folder seems to have worked...
