I searched this thread, but didn't find a fix. The problem I'm experiencing is in a few of the pics too.
Biome colored grass wont work, it's all brown. The sides are normal and the top is all brown. Trees are working though.
I have these mods: Wild Grass (also brown), Betterlight and BetterGrass, both from MrMessiah's mods.
I have no idea what i'm doing wrong. I was moving all the files in the .rar to the .jar, save for the ALTERNATIVES.png, and then using Xau's texture fixer with all of the custom things, and still Biome colored grass is all brown
All of that is now useless, i was installing it in the wrong order, but it's fixed now :biggrin.gif:
After 10:30 PST, my IQ drops to around that of a shovel, please disregard anything I say after aforementioned time, it will likely not make any sense, and is best ignored.
The new WildGrass 8.5.2 doesn't use the terrain.png anymore and thus overrides Misa's textures.
To fix this I made a quick patch, cutting the images of Misa's grass and lillies out of the terrain.png.
Does anyone else have the fast moving water problem? Whenever there is flowing water it looks like its moving 10 times fast. Any way to fix this?
That would require a mod to the custom_movingwater thingy, You're welcome to try to fix it. each block on ther is a separate frame, you can double up the frames to try to fix it.
Also, I've made a Terrain_nh.png file from Misa's pack. Misa, if you want me to take it down, or you release your own, I'll remove the link.
This normal image sucks.
I suggest you copy the unlit pumpkin's normal over the lit one's, to fix a bug from making it in Crazybump.

I'm a decent Java programmer learning Python, and I'm skilled with server administration, WorldEdit, redstone circuitry, etc. Feel free to show me mod ideas, I'm thinking about starting to make mods, and I'd be happy to give insight as to how a mod could be implemented in Minecraft.
It died out on my computer, but I don't think it was from one of the mods. It was something that added ads to every webpage I visited, but I have adblock, so I had to block each one individually. I found that I couldn't post comments on youtube when all the ads were blocked, but one day I started being able to post again, so I guessed the virus died.
I really do love you texture pack, but my minecraft is still crashed and I sent the message to mojangsupport.
Maybe when I get a gaming computer I can finally download this. :biggrin.gif:

Just to help people out, don't bother even trying to use this normal map they provided, it isn't going to work I can just tell by looking at it, they took the whole terrain and ran it through crazy bump.
Transparency will be bugged, as well as tiling, this method doesn't work you need to do each tile individually.
Thanks for trying to help but I'm afraid all the people trying to make normal maps for the sets are really just making more of a headache for the GLSL shader author, you need to let the texture authors do them, or it's just gonna cause trouble.

Oh, I thought that could be the case. As I'm unable to get parallax occullusion to work on my minecraft, I didn't test it. I'll go and fix it. Also, what did you mean by transparency being bugged? How do you fix it?

Question, do you think that at some point you may upgrade to 128x128 textures?
Check the FAQ, or use search thread. I've answered this in detail several times already.

Does anyone here know how to fix my two problems?
1. Water animation is really really really fast.
2. After installing Better Grass my dirt looks like that ^
1. That's just how the water looks on my pack. It's meant to look fast so that it looks good vertically on waterfalls. I may redo it later though, who knows. I've posted on why it is the way it is before, as have others.
2. BetterGrass makes it so that if one grass block is just one block above another, the grass transfers onto the side. Makes it so that hills look greener from a distance. If it's two blocks high, you'll get the standard grass lip with the dirt walls. That's basically what BetterGrass is supposed to do. I assume what you were looking for was WildGrass. It's a completely different mod altogether that adds grass sprites to the top of grass blocks. I personally use both together.

I don't know how transparency works with these textures but is it possible to make your water less opaque?
It is, and I feel my water is translucent enough. The still water is more translucent than the vanilla without being too translucent to cover up the weird underwater shading effect, and keep the detail of the animation visible. The flowing water is only slightly more opaque and lighter though as it would be in reality due to turbulence.

I just don't like the color of the grass. I don't know about you guys, but my grass looks grayish-brownish. I would just like it green, thats all.
That's a biome color issue. There is an alternate file already for this provided in my downloads section called, "Simpler Greener Vegetation." Normally, on current generated maps, there should only be greyish-brown grass in deserts and snowy areas. On older maps, the biomes don't quite show up properly.

Your texture pack made minecraft crash when itried to run it, your description says how to uninstall yout t-pack, so i did as you instructed and minecraft still wont run it just sits at load screen that says " Updating minecaft", its says done loading but it still just sits there telling me its done loading. plz respond w/ advice bcuz i cant play minecraft!!!
btw instructions said to delet mincraft file in bin
The instructions say to delete the entire bin folder itself. If that doesn't repair your installation, delete the entire .minecraft folder then run the game to let it redownload all the main files from scratch.

Could you please upload some more pictures of your japanese feudal castle?
If I can get un-lazy enough. I'm busy working on too many other things at the moment to play photographer. I'll get around to it eventually. For now though there's some ancient shots of it on this old thread. viewtopic.php?f=35&t=47700&start=30

your pumpkin texture is backwards. when you wear the pumpkin on your head, the face part is on the back of your head instead of the front. XD
Actually the texture is not backwards. The game has been rendering them backwards since the last major patch.

Misa, do you have any plans on doing 64x64 versions of the Mo' Creatures textures? If not as part of this pack, perhaps as an "unofficial addon"?
At this point... MAYBE. I have other priorities though and this one isn't very high on the list. GLSL shader support are currently the top priority. And I'll have to mess with Mo' Creatures to see if it's something I'm willing to support. I always liked the concept, but I never bothered to try it because it adds entities which can break your old saves should you choose to later stop using it. I was hoping an official release of a stable API would correct this, but if that never comes out, I may play around with the mod and if I like it enough, I'll make textures for it. Officially though, live your life as though I have no intentions of supporting it.

This only goes for singleplayer... when playing multiplyer with this, and hosting a server, my buddy keeps being dropped, either by time-out or some generic.reason error.
This happens even if it's just me running the pack, and he's using the default texture...
has anyone else experienced this ?
I don't think that'd be an issue with my texture pack. That'd be an issue with your ability to host a stable server. Your game client is completely independent from the server client. What's likely happening, is your computer may be using more resources now, and your server is suffering for it.

Will you include this in the next pacth?
(IMAGE)
That was a test to show my support for daxnitro's work. I'm honestly surprised how quickly this image has been spread. Anyway I'm still working on the normals, height, and specular maps, and when I'm satisfied with how it looks in-game I'll release it with my shader settings for the GLSL shader mod. Likely this will be after dynamic lighting is working so I can tweak the specular maps accurately. It will definitely be released though! Release date is: "WHEN ITS DONE."

I guess you propably know this already but just to be sure ;D
Theres that kind of a problem between biomes.
That's an issue with the game itself. It's just more noticeable on my pack since I use more colors for grass than just slight variations of the same green color. This is partly why I like to use BetterGrass. If you want all green grass though, I have a link to the fix for that in my main post.

...i want to know if it's compatible with the DrZhark_'s Mo_'Creatures Mod TFC v2.5.4...
Pretty sure it works with Mo' Creatures. Dunno about the other one. The art will definitiely clash with mine though.

I've made a Terrain_nh.png file from Misa's pack. Misa, if you want me to take it down, or you release your own, I'll remove the link.
I've no problem with it being up. Though I'm not sure it'll do any good. Normal maps currently don't do anything for the GLSL Shader mod without alpha height maps and specular maps. Also using Crazybump on the whole terrain.png at once will give you weird issues with neighboring textures bleeding into others. Probably best to just be patient for my release.

That would explain my PO not working. I do have some redone normals without heightmaps, but I can't easily use the alpha channel in The GIMP I think... I'll just wait for the official release.

also- it look fantastic, great work.

Dude i cant get this to work.
Just saw that was posted by Misa in the GLSL Shaders thread, and am really hoping to see it released in a not so distant future :biggrin.gif:
Well, she's making good progress it would seem. I'd estimate 3-5 business days for this update.
and it's going to be awesome...er
Can I get a link to that? That's that most awesome thing I've seen today.
Well there is no download yet, only a post by Misa showing it off in the GLSL thread here: viewtopic.php?f=25&t=128043&p=2435098#p2435098
