For anyone undecided about installing graphics mods/hd texture packs, I made some comparison screenshots between the default Minecraft and using Misa texture pack, BetterLight/Grass and Wild Grass:
Very nice shots! I may link to them on the main thread after I've gotten some sleep.

Also, if you don't mind me making asking, would it be too difficult to get a mossy cobblestone to match the cobblestone here?
I'll see what I can do. Initially I wasn't really expecting that texture to go anywhere. Was just something I threw together while experimenting.

Putting a pumpkin on your head shows the pumpkin the wrong way, the face is facing the back of your head although you can still see the eye hole.
Wearing armour, such as this diamond armour I have, causes your legs to be shown even though you're sitting down, so I have 4 pairs of legs, or 4 pair of boots anyway.
Neither of those are issues with this pack, they're general issues with the game client that everyone has with or without a texture pack. The backwards pumpkin head was a recent bug from this most recent patch.
First I just want to say that I love your textures. I've looked through a lot of different sets and yours is definately my favorite. You did such a nice job on the details I almost wish you had also made a 128. I can't even imagine what you could do with double the resolution. :smile.gif:
The reason I'm posting is because I have been having this 1 visual bug with your texture pack. Around every torch there is a white line or outline of a texture box. Sometimes you can only see 1 line and other times you can see either a whole outlined square or even parts of 2 outlined squares criss-crossing themselves in the middle. What I am seeing is definately the edges of the texture or the polygon plane it sits on. I can see this from any angle.
I've tried Win7 64bit and XP.
I currently use your texture pack, HD Fix, MrMMods, and Wild Grass. (It doesn't seem to matter if I run nothing but your texture pack or if I include other mods)
I included a screenshot to show you what I'm talking about.
BTW I tried seeing if it would go away by deleting all the art in the particles.png and also the flame and torch art in the terrain.png file but the white line/boarder was still there even though the actual art wasn't.
hey have a question if you could could do some new textures to match your pack for the "Helmit Lamp"?
I do not provide graphical support for mods that create entities or alter gameplay. As they can be unstable and break saves. Not until there is an official API and mod support by Notch that will not break your saves if such a mod is uninstalled will I consider graphical support. Sorry.

This is a video card issue with some versions of MCPatcher. It's usually repaired by going into your video card settings. and messing with the 3D settings, namely anisotropic filtering and anti-aliasing, or by waiting for another update to MCPatcher.

I think that there is a minor problem with the grasscolor filter because I just found an area where the grass was grey. If I went back to the original textures, the grass was green. If I used the Misa pack minus the grasscolor filter, the grass was green but when I put the Misa grasscolor back, the grass went grey again. I haven't seen this happen before and most of the grass looks fine, it was just this one small region (in/near a desert biome beside an ocean).
It's intentional. Grass decreases in saturation and goes 'dead' in the desert and snow biomes to ease transitions into sand and snow. On some older maps generated before biome implementation, this effect is somewhat jarring with big open fields of dead grass where snow or sand would normally be. The effect best shines in really large deserts though where you have lots of sand and an occasional patch of dead grass that blends very with the sandy environment. You'll notice that my uncolored texture for grass isn't purely grey though, it's a slightly yellowish tinge to simulate deadness, though desaturated enough to also blend with frost-dead grass.

Could anyone spare some time to make a mirror upload? Mediafire is being a turd at the moment... -.-
If anyone can suggest a decent, free manageable file upload site, I'll provide mirrors for this and future releases. Just needs to be something that allows me complete control over the files I upload.
wow! great texture pack theirs one think that bugs me tho can you make a link that makes it so all of the hostile mobs have the original skin? i think i would pee my pants every time i saw zombie or some thing

To keep the hostile mobs with the original skin, open up your Minecraft.jar file with WinRar or 7-zip. Drag and drop everything EXCEPT the file titled "mob." Then, open up the "mob" file in the minecraft.jar and the "mob" file in Misa's pack. From there you can drag and drop all the mobs textures. For instance, since you only want the passive mobs, onnly drag and drop the pig.png, the chicken.png, the cow.png, and the sheep.png to the minecraft.jar mob file.
I've always been curious about something though Misa. Why 64x64? Wouldn't 128x128 have offered more leeway when it comes to combining detail and the ability for a block to tile well?
Any chance we'll ever see a 128 pack from you? Your 64 pack is amazing, I can't even look at over 128 packs without thinking 'ew' but if you did a 128 it'd probably be awesome.
i have a problem. i downloaded this pack without reading the instructions by accident and i moved ur pack into the minecraft texture pack also. now i cant open the minecraft window so i basically cant even view the front page or anything. i installed lastest HD fix patcher and still nothing. instead of minecraft popping up it says "504 gateway time-out" with ZEN below that. can u help me fix this >_>

You need to start over from a clean install, which is made problematic right now because minecraft.net is having issues. Inside your .minecraft folder, you need to remove the bin folder, then launch Minecraft. The game will automatically download a new bin folder for you... at least, once you can actually connect to minecraft.net it will. Once that's done, close Minecraft and try installing the pack with the HD patcher.

Totally agree. It does for the oceans what WildGrass+BetterGrass does for the land :smile.gif:
Also imagine, using those 64x64 coral blocks to build a house or underwater den or something, marble-mod no longer needed :biggrin.gif:

I'd love to use that but unfortunately none of the packs' mossy cobblestone textures seem to match.

the most well done texture pack that i saw!
thanks in advance

I'm quite glad you updated Misa. Your textures are always epic. :tongue.gif:

I hope we can connect soon.
nvm, i found out what to do
Brilliant as always, I began using all of these immediately.
I know you could whip this up in 0.02 seconds but here's a "black" cloth if you would like to use it.
