@FlameSama1 No worries. Properties files found in texture packs are automatically utilized by virtue of having your minecraft.jar patched with an HD Patcher like MCPatcher or Optifine. They are the mods themselves. Texture packs are merely content for the mods and are used/selected as any other texture pack. For instance if MCPatcher was installed with BetterSkies checked, it will look in the texturepacks folder for any selected texture packs that contain a terrain/sky0 folder and if any skyX.properties files are found, it'll use them. The process is designed to be simple so that anyone can use high resolution texture packs with any added features as they normally would any other texture pack.
@Npatterson11 I actually do take requests for things like alternate textures and I do take all well-justified criticism seriously. Much of my pack is the way it is today due to constructive criticism. However, you haven't even explained what's offensive about the symbol on the enchantment table. I don't see what's offensive about it. It's simply a pentacle; a practically universal symbol for magic. The star in my pentacle isn't even inverted to where it could be mistaken as the eastern star (which I'm still not seeing as offensive, just because some stupid organizations make use of it).
Some neo-pagan magical traditions make use of the pentacle, but that's hardly anything to be offended over. The enchantment table is supposed to be magical, so a magical symbol seems very appropriate. The runes circling it are simply taken from my runic alphabet used for the enchantment font and the flying magical rune particle effects. They're loosely based on the Elder Futhark runes used by ancient scandinavians and vikings for divination and magical charms. I see nothing offensive there either unless you're just offended by magic or historical symbols of magic in general.

I've had more people praise me for not having anything but a simple frame in my glass than people asking me to put more stuff in it. In fact originally my pack's glass had a simple latticework in it. People didn't like the clutter of it so I held a vote. I had about 5 different types of glass to vote on and the simple grey frame won unanimously.
The candidates are still available in the ALTERNATES.png file which people can swap in if they want, and I do take requests for new alts. Ideally, I'd like to have properly translucent glass at some point which I'd probably support with CTM as well. Translucent textures are a bit of a problem render-wise at the moment though.

if glass supported transparency, that would be amazing. i originally wanted the windows in my texture pack to be transparent bottle green, but sadly... that's impossible. i shall bring this suggestion to khar/sp614x (well, unless they already thought of it, but they do both have those future plans part on their threads so its not hard to check)
So I've been using this pack since waaay back in Beta, it was the first pack I ever used and I've honestly come back to it over 20 times like an ex-girlfriend XD It is BY-FAR the best texture pack available.. there are some pretty good ones, but until they work more on alternatives, and other mod related things, this will remain on top just wanted to say thanks for making my Minecraft experience so awesome for the past year Keep doin what you're doin

4. Close other high-memory-impact programs. Some programs are huge resource hogs, and no matter how much memory you have, if it's all being used by a web browser with a lot of tabs open (even if minimized) Java may not be getting the memory resources it needs to render all textures. In this case, on Windows it wouldn't hurt to use 'Ctrl'+'Alt'+'Delete' to bring up the Task Manager and arrange your currently running applications by their memory usage to see what big memory hogs you can shut off while you play Minecraft
My Comment: thank you amd for making a multi tasking cpu clocking 4.2Ghz and my 16 gb of ram with ssd... hmm... minecraft 10% cpu usage, ram 40% usage graphics card 260 FPS ingame but catalyst shows that the graphics card is in idle state at 15% of graphic memory usage... wtf?
Misa,
So this Texture Pack isn't compatible with Optifine?
I use MCPather for installing all my mods, including Optifine (Don't ask me why I use Optifine with MCPatcher, I'm getting tired of telling everyone). So, I have three questions.
1) If I check all the required boxes in MCPatcher to run this texture pack, will it conflict with Optifine, what what boxes are required?
2) Would It be possible to edit the pack to make it compatible with Optifine (not you, me, I'm no stranger to image editing)
3) What exactly does Optifine lack?
Aso, great pack, I love it (from the screenshots)
Most CTM features, and most of the asweomeness is made of these, also, better skies, optifine has poor custom colors (also a big part) and different mob overlays.
But you can disable the optifine HD features, you just need to delete their files and use MC Patcher. In the optifine thread, it's sadi waht are those files.
I did do everything right installing this pack and i have the latest MCPatcher, but still it says "use the latest MCPatcher" on water and lava. What should i do?
I made a simple graphic for how some colored blocks become more vibrant in mushroom biomes, which can be used for reference (Some color changes are very subtle):
Blocks shown are those included as of the version 4.1.6 texture pack and MC version 1.2.5.
Really nice, have used it for years on-off. If anyone needs the version WORKING with the most recent Optifine, PM me or if Misa allows me to post it on the thread, or even her editing her post with it, that'd be great!

i do have one suggestion though... your windows are a bit plain, just being empty frames. add something more to them.

I also dig the new textures, especially sand and the different wools.
