Hey Misa, would you be kind enough to make Chain Armor match the rest of your pack? It just seems out of place to have it left out.

Wow this is amazing ^^ I just love it :tongue.gif: do you plan on doing anything for the chain mail armor? I added that back into the game with the customizable crafting recipes mod and would be great if it looked as good >.>
If not that's good too but wouldn't happen to know where I can find a nicer chain mail than the ones in the game already ^^?
Currently as my understanding goes, it's impossible to obtain chainmail short of mods or hacks. As I've stated before, I really don't use any mods that change the game mechanics, only graphical enhancements. As it is, the iron armor I made actually has a few pieces of chainmail in it, so making a new armor set would require me to modify that to maintain distinction. If Notch ever officially implements chainmail, I'll gladly do this. At this point though, I don't intend to do alternate bits of art for game mods I'm not using. It just gets to be too much work, testing is a pain, and I don't have much of a motivation to do so. The best workaround I can think of is to just copy the iron armor, and rename it to its chainmail equivalent. There'd be no distinction, but it's probably better than nothing.

Only one trouble I have is that the Watch doesnt display correctly, it is totally a blank square and unusable due to this, anyone else having the same problem.

My watch is invisible when using this pack, and my compass needle is tiny.. anyone else having similar issues/know a fix?
It doesn't work for anybody. This isn't an issue with my texture pack. It's an issue with ALL high resolution texture packs. We all pretty much just have to wait for the HD Fix patcher to be updated. Until then, no watch and a tiny compass needle for all who use texture packs above 16x16.

If anyone wants to use it here's a change for the hurt sound if you're using the female skins. Never uploaded anything to mediafire before so I might I have done it wrong >.>
Thank you! I would've recorded my own, but I don't have a microphone. Notch really needs to make female pain sounds an option. Or at least make a unisex pain sound already.

He he, I just noticed that, despite being abandoned all alone in the middle of nowhere, all the Minecraft guy variants have had time to shave. :wink.gif:
Every time you log off of the game, your character busts out a really sharp piece of flint. :tongue.gif: I'll think about this for the next update.

LOVE the new glass pack - How do I add that to my existing pack?
This is just a simple texture replacement. I don't know enough scripting to allow you to use all 5 kinds in one game. Just select the terrain.png of the type of glass you want, drag it into your minecraft.jar and replace the old one to go with whatever glass type you wish.

I tried to install this but it crashes minecraft. I even deleted the entire ".minecraft" folder so it redownloaded everything. I can launch the vanilla game just fine, once I install this pack I get this message
Please use the patcher listed on the main post. A complete set of instructions on how to install with the patcher for those still having trouble has been posted twice on this forum already. I should probably just add these to the main post.

I HATE the glass, sorry to say, but is there anyway you could post instructions on removing the new glass texture so i have the old glass?
Download the Alternate Glass Pack. Select the glass you want. Copy over the appropriate terrain.png to your minecraft.jar. Done.

i have some suggestions:
1.change some textures that u didnt changed like clouds, snow.png, rain.png, pumpkin.png, fluff.png and more.......
2.change the logo..
3.the pack looks woo much strange, try to make it more like the original..
looking forward to the next version!
can u say 2 me when u gonna release it?
1. Clouds have been changed, it's just a subtle change that adds some mild bits of transparency near edges. Because increasing the pixel edge resolution produces weird 3D glitches on high resolution packs. The rest of those textures are currently unused. As soon as they're put into use, I'll change 'em.
2. Can't. It's hard coded 3D. I can only change the Mojang logo.
3. I made this pack because I didn't like the original. If there's something in particular you'd like to see changed, be specific about it and I'll take it into consideration.
As far as releases go. I can work on the pack on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. So all updates will be released anytime between Saturday and Monday for the most part. Some weeks I may not work on it though to take a break. However if there are any major bugs (That are actually an issue with my pack.), I'll try to address those immediately.
To all the compliments and words of praise I say thanks. It's the main drive behind all the recent work I've done on this pack. And while updates may eventually slow down I do plan to support this pack for at least as long as Notch is adding new things to the game. :smile.gif: That said, I also plan to keep on top of every major update to the game.
I'll add my thanks and appreciation for this wonderful pack, the first to lure me away from the modified version of nickhimself's 256x pack that has been raping my laptop graphics card for the past month. I especially love your mobs and can't see replacing them any time soon.
The first HD pack I like to use. Enjoying it a lot. Very well done!
Little question on the side: How do I get Minecraft to use the default player skin (aka the HD skin png in the folder) instead of the one I uploaded in the preferences on the homepage?

I just wanted to say that this is the best 64x64 texture I have seen. I have used Doku's rpg texture pack which is 32x32 for quite some time and was really turned off by the 64x64 packs. My brother found this the other day and it has done wonders for our world. Doku stopped updating his texture packs so we were looking for a different one and this one just fit perfectly :smile.gif: Thanks for making this and keep up the good work.
Just want to say this is the best texture pack I have seen. Only complaint is The menu gui was giving me a headache due to the transparency of the item windows. Looked great but things like coal were hard to see. Hope you do not mind but I edited them, making the item windows a light gray so I can see things better.
Hey Misa, me again. I actually just got the textures in game, "installation" issues, and I noticed the iron ore is a little too red. Could you mabye make it less red/more orange or something.

Here's a quick fix you can apply yourself for now. It'll be standard next version.

2.so yeah change the mojang logo..
3.ok, and i didnt like somethings that looks too much strange from the original..
like the coal and flint it tooks me some time to discover that they are coal and flint XD..
so yeah.. still looking forward to the next version :smile.gif:
Awesome texture pack. I did find the glass a problem before but now you fixed it! And the new high def armor... EPIC!
I downloaded it as soon as I could on the weekend (as I am at boarding school) but now I am at school again and media fire is blocked. (as well as all other file sharing sites)
Is there any chance you can host it on speedy share?
(With Mr.Mods Simple Map + Ambient Occlusion)
Perhaps as a mirror download? I love all your textures btw. (I only slightly edited them but not much, mainly the glass because it was so distracting)
Anyways, could you please do me the favor? (Thank you in advance)

Just another "me too" post. I love this texture pack. It's a shame the contest is for 16x16 textures only because this would def have my vote. Amazing work.
I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but there is a problem with the Nether portal animation. Only a tiny strip at the top of each block is visible.
I figured since Misa doesn't want to make chain mail (which makes sense since you don't have chainmail in your game to use :tongue.gif:) I kinda tweaked my copy of the texture pack. I made the Iron Armor the chain mail and I changed the hue's and bleached the diamond to make it Iron colored. So it has the iron colored diamond armor and diamond armor now. They are not different except by color (got the idea from misa saying to copy the iron armor over for the chainmail but they wouldn't be different ^^) So hopefully someone else likes it because I'm not very good with photoshop except minor changes and tweaking o.o

It's in the Alternate Character Pack. Just drag the appropriate char.png into your minecraft.jar and play offline.
Thanks, laterz.
