Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but the Netherrack is showing up as bright blue water blocks for me. I'm not sure if it's something that went wrong on my part or yours.
****ing Chist, I realize this your first post but at least do some damn reading first. It gets annoying when hundreds of people post about the same problem. There's a little thing called Xau's HD Texture Fix that will solve your problems, go find it. Hell, it's mentioned in the post right before yours. Use your brain, boy, it's there for a reason.
SineDeviance, you know anything about the mysterious glow that shows up sometimes when running in maximized window?
Im not entirely sure it has anything to do with the texture pack, might be related to the HD patch or just the game itself. Looks like this:
Kinda low quality on the picture but there's nothing more then a small glow next to the center dot thats stuck at that exact position no matter where you are or what hangle your camera has.
As for the texture pack itself, I personally don't like the gravel very much, preferred to have it with grey as the main color, maybe with some brown in it but not as much as it is now (too much contrast to both dirt and cobblestone/solid stone).
Might do some tweaking myself to various blocks later but the texture i love the most in this pack must be a draw between the torches and the railroad parts. ^^
Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the support!
As for the strange white dot... are you using the 16x16 set or the 32x32 set? I haven't seen that before but I'm betting it's an alignment issue in one of the .png's. Once I know which set you're using I'll fire that one up and take a look.
Just downloaded the 16x16 and LOVE it. I don't want to use HD textures untill Notch makes a fix so that they don't require a patcher. so this texture is a God send. Great job on this texture pack in a 16x16 layout. But I also get that strange dot / glow by my cross hair dot in the center of the screen. But unlike Akorax, I'm using the 16x16, not the 32x32 version. I tryed to figure out how to load the default crosshair into that texture pack, but have failed Would you know how to load the default cross hair untill that glitch has been fixed up? I like the dot crosshair alot, looks alot cleaner. But the glow bugs me a bit
Edit: I run MC on a brand new computer, made sure all the drivers are updated, ect.

why the hell the grass and leaves are grey ;( plz fix it
If you couldn't tell from the screenshots, there's nothing wrong with it. They're supposed to be like that so that the biome color can be applied to them. Don't tell someone to fix something that isn't broken, it's quite twattish.
Due to some reports of a graphical glitch in the crosshair, I have redesigned it in this release. The new crosshair design is 4-dot quadratic. I also changed the color to bright orange; reason being that bright orange is the most distinctive color to the human eye. Both releases have been updated.
How do I remove the skinned items? I prefer the original look of the tools, etc and want to keep them WITH doku's other textures.
First, delete your /.minecraft/bin folder and have Minecraft re-install itself. Then, open the zip file for the texture set you want to use and go into the /gui/ directory. Once there, delete the items.png file from the zip. Then install the texture pack as you normally would.
Hmm, the light isn't gone. But I doubt it's the crosshair's texture since you already changed it once, must be some connectíng texture or light effect. I haven't looked into the img in the .jar/.zip-file myself but it's my theory anyway.
GJ on the new crosshair I like it alot. Moving water coming up? ^^
Hmm, interesting. I know it's not something from the gui file, as there is nothing with a white edge that could be showing up.
As far as moving water goes, I'll try to work something out.
Glad you like the new crosshair. I think it works better in the dark; it doesn't 'blind' you as much.
Yo. I just patched the 32x32 pack then stuck it in the textures pack folder. Though why does it take over the Default texture pack as well and basically duplicate itself? Because of this, other texture packs wont work properly either.

It's not because of the pack, it's because of the HD texture patch. All of this information is in the HD texture patcher thread. 32x32+ textures are not supported by Minecraft, so some code has to be changed to make them work. If you install the 32x32 pack with the HD texture patcher, you will not be able to use textures of any other size unless you re-install Minecraft. You do not need to put the .zip into the textures folder either, that only works with regular 16x16 texture sets. If you DO want to keep compatibility with other packs then use the 16x16 release. That's what it's here for.
ok, i liked doku's set and had it in alpha, im not up to par on all the techno mumbo jumbo that the rest of you crafters are, but im going to give the 16x16 a shot, mostly because i dont understand a damned thing anyone is saying about updating this, or adjusting .jar files... i hope i dont frag my game.

Fair enough. I'm just glad you enjoy the 16x16 version.

oh i do enjoy it a lot, it adds some spice to the game that wasn't there before, i guess you could say it gives it feeling, or substance..., not sure which but it definitely adds to the game in a very good way, thank you for your hard work.

Wow, this is incredible. A contender for Eld's pack! Great job.
I'm glad you enjoy it, but don't thank me -- thank doku and vamediah. They put in the real spadework; all I'm doing is keeping their work up-to-date, and adding my own small tweaks. Thank you, nonetheless!

Hi SineDeviation :-)
Once again - great job with scaling down Doku's RPG textures to use with unmodified Minecraft. If you'd done it a bit earlier I would just use your work as my default texture pack. But since it wasn't around when I started looking for a 16x16 Doku's RPG replacement, I started working on one on my own.
It's done now and it was published today. It's called Pixeludi Pack and it features 100% my original work totally re-imagining Minecraft's looks. It's quite different from Doku's pack - a bit darker and smoother - but I think it captures a RPG-ish mood (but more in the lines of classic dungeon crawlers).
Give it a spin if you like (you'll find the link to the pack's thread in my signature), and please share some thoughts if you do.
Regards,
- Mruqe
Hi Mruqe! I'm taking a Minecraft break tonight but I will definitely install your pack and try it out tomorrow after work. My friend, from what I've seen in the screenshots, you appear to be far more talented than I am; all I did was tweak and partially re-create some designs that already existed -- you created an entire texture pack from scratch. That's something I've had much trouble with. Your items look great, too.
Thanks for the positive comment on the 16x Doku re-size. I hope many people download and enjoy your pack, and I will be one of them :smile.gif:
Does anybody know which version of Doku's pack is being used by Lewis from the Yogscast? The sword looks like a katana and the tools are different. The cacti had better textures as well in my opinion.

SineCraft Texture Pack -- For a smoother, cleaner Minecraft
32x looks like this (the original res of doku's rpg pack) and must be installed with the HD Texture patcher:
First, delete your /.minecraft/bin folder and have Minecraft re-install itself. Then, open the zip file for the texture set you want to use and go into the /gui/ directory. Once there, delete the items.png file from the zip. Then install the texture pack as you normally would.
