DISCLAIMER: All credit for the content of this set goes to doku and vamediah. I am simply continuing their work and updating their releases to be compatible with the new Minecraft updates. The 16x16 release is my own little project, but it is based on doku's original 32x32 release. More info on this in the 'background' section below.
BACKGROUND
Since doku has said that he no longer desires to work on Minecraft, I have gone ahead and updated his RPG texture set to be compatible with the Halloween update Minecraft Beta. There are currently two versions of the pack -- a 16x16 version for maximum compatibility with the new Minecraft updates as well as future mods and mod updates (i.e. the dual compass mod) and a 32x32 version for those of you that just can't live without higher resolution textures. This pack also includes vamediah's items, which I have updated with the newest items. I have recolored the new items to match the rest of the pack. All the credit goes to doku and vamediah. Thank you both for making such a complete and awesome texture/item set! And if you guys don't want me distributing this please let me know.
Both releases of this set are fully compatible with Minecraft Beta (v1.1_02 at this time.) This set features updated releases of the non-flowers version of doku's RPG Texture Set v1.2. It does not include textures from any other packs, the exception being vamediah's items and temporary usage of default textures.
For the 16x16 release I have attempted to manually restore all of the details that were lost when I resized the original terrain.png; some of the designs had to be changed and you may not like them, and some of them are currently not perfect or have small alignment issues. If you have a better design for a particular texture and don't mind letting me use it, I'd be happy to try it out.
Due to some reports of a graphical glitch in the crosshair, I have redesigned it in this release. The new crosshair design is 4-dot quadratic. I also changed the color to bright orange; reason being that bright orange is the most distinctive color to the human eye. Both releases have been updated.

16x16 OLD RELEASES
v0.6 -- 12.14.10
In this release I fixed a few small alignment issues and changed the design of the glass block to make it easier to see through. I also cleaned up the wooden chest textures and the trim on the double chest now lines up properly.
v0.5 -- 12.13.10
I accidentally left out a few of the refinished textures in v0.4; most notably the new wooden door and leaf textures. I also went ahead and tweaked the iron door a little bit while I had Paint.NET open. This will probably be the last release for a while, the pack is pretty much complete at this point. If you just couldn't live without the detail of the original 32x32 set you should definitely give this version a try.
v0.4 -- 12.12.10
This is a major update. I have refinished most of the textures in the pack and everything should look much less blurry now.
v0.3 -- 12.12.10
I added the fishing rod bobber in this release. The pack version number will also now appear in the Texture Packs menu. Besides that, no other changes.
v0.2 -- 12.11.10
I have updated the pack to be compatible with the new Texture Packs menu. I also tweaked some of the textures to make them more defined.
v0.1 -- 10.31.10
This version of doku's RPG texture set has been updated to work correctly with all of Minecraft's new features, namely biomes, hell/the slip/the nether/whatever Notch is calling it, and the new items. The grass and leaf textures will follow the new color gradients accordingly. Currently, the set is complete -- except for water and lava. The custom water and lava textures are in terrain.png but they don't show up in-game; instead, the default water and lava show up. If anyone knows how I can fix this please let me know! I will keep tweaking the pack as time goes on to fix alignment issues and the like.
32x32 OLD RELEASES
v0.2 -- 12.15.10
This update adds the item pack to the 32x32 release. I accidentally left them out in v0.1.
v0.1 -- 12.13.10
This is the first release of the updated 32x32 set. All of the new post-boo textures and items are included, and this set is fully compatible with the latest Minecraft update. For now, the post-boo textures are just upscaled defaults. I am working on proper replacements that will match the rest of the pack.
If you don't like it, don't use it, but leave your douchebaggery at the door. At least give some constructive criticism. Simply saying "This looks ****" doesn't really do much to help me improve it, now does it?
I'm glad to see someone take up the pack to continue it's maintenance, but I'm very sad to see the 32x32 version set aside - Part of the beauty of the pack was the high-res graphics, and it seems to me that it loses much of it's draw if it doesn't maintain the higher resolution.
Looks good dude! Thanks for taking up Doku's pack, it was one of the best.
Thanks!

True... I was thinking about this after I made the thread. When the HD texture patch is updated to work with the new client I'll update the 32x32 version and release it.

I like to see it continued but fix glass please!
This pack has the most obnoxious glass >_>
But everything else looks nice.
I know the glass isn't that good. Unfortunately doku's original 32x32 glass doesn't work in 16x16. I tried to make a design that sticks with the common theme but still allows you to actually see through the glass. I'll work on it.

Glad to hear it! I'll be adding this thread to my bookmarks for sure now!
Screw all the bugs. This might be the make or break for me on actually updating my game to post halloween. No HD textures on Doku? Doku RPG skin is just way too dang pretty. I should have never installed it in the first place then..
I fully encourage a 32x32 once compatibility is fixed.

It's good, but like others have said, the great thing about Doku's was the detail and the 32x32 pack. It still looks a LOT better then the standered Minecraft textures at the normal 16x16 so You'll still have my download but I really hope for an update'd 32x32.
The grass colors can be changed in the misc folder. It doesn't need to stay black and white in the terrain.png file. Chunks from the grass/foliage colors can be changed or even erased to keep the grass and leaves colors the same as in the previous version.
I don't really understand why you resized the terrain to 16x16 either.
I love the pack. I actually enjoy the 16x16. The only problem I have is the glass. Just make it something I can see through a little easier and you've got my download.
As Aristotle once said, haters gonna hate. I appreciate the effort made to bring this pack up-to-date with the new version, and think it came out well.
I just tried this out to see if it would be a tolerable replacement for Doku's 32x32 pack. Okay, so it's more pixilated, but it's as lovely as ever. I wouldn't dream of playing with the basic graphics again, and I don't have to fool around with the silly HD texture fix crap. Not to mention possible performance issues from using HD textures(some of us need every edge we can get).
When you do, or if you do, a 32x32 texture PLEASE KEEP THE 16x16 AROUND. It really is kind of necessary for some people, and those people would be forlorn without their lovely Doku.

Other people are keeping the 32x32 version alive. Look around and I bet you'll find a version that is compatible with Beta 1.2.
