I don't understand why you have a problem with water.
After Notch released support for texture packs and xau updated his patcher, I've simply put the zipped file in texturepacks in my Roaming profile (Windows 7), ran the HD Patcher, and got the green water. No extract step or messing with files
I don't understand either, but if I do what you just describe, then I only get the default water. When I manually install the 'terrain' file again into the minecraft.jar file, I get the green water. I have Vista 64, though I doubt that makes any difference. Oh well, I'm even more pleased that this works for you and hopefully the majority, without messing around!
Either way I'm glad to get my polluted water back! :biggrin.gif:
@Eurgiga that is completely epic my friend, I tip my hat to you with that build.
@Araknae liking the look on your character. I tried modding the armour my self the other other week and it just didn't look right at all. so nice job.
And of course Glimmar, thanks for the new 1.2.2 friendly zip. Loving the new wood texture, mainly since I was wanting the fencing to look a bit more dark. though now I just need to find a pumpkin, I have still yet to find on since they were added.

To get custom water you now need to check the Texture Pack line in the patcher and point it to the texture pack you wish to use.
That's what I did ! That explains it.
And that's what I'm not used to doing, because I was always used to just dropping my textures directly into minecraft myself. I'll point that out in the instructions as soon as possible. Thanks, you two have figured this puzzle out for me! :smile.gif:

Haha! It didn't take me too long to find a pumpkin patch because part of my one and only world got corrupted (still have all my original buildings, etc Phew!), but in a good way. When I travel in one particular direction I have the most weird mountain structures (we've all seen them before I know) like the remains of some collosal civilisation. So I'm well chuffed (pleased)! Can't wait to have the time to drive my roads and railroad in that direction. Will make a nice tourist destination! :biggrin.gif:
Now when you find your pumpkins, just watch out for those uber technological munchkins!
I have to say I LOVE this texturepack! however, eh don't know if youll get mad if I coment on stuff u could enhance but here goes.. The diving helmet (AWESOME), when u put it on u see through as if it is was a vanilla pumpkin, u see through the two eyes and the pumpkin smile :smile.gif: now I THINK its changeable, I remember seeing a pack that had changed it. the rest of the pack works wonders with my edward alphonse skin!
Thanks for the compliment, 'haxjagarn'. As soon as I finish updating the Nether blocks, updating the 'pumpkinblur.png' file was next on my list. There was a lot of talk about it on page 23 or 24. This was something I really need to experiment with to get right, as there's great potential for atmosphere. My internet, or the forum is very slow for me tonight or I'd find a link for another pumpkinblur file I used which worked a treat, but was a different design from my helmet. Keep checking back and I should have something for you to match the Steampunk Helm.
Are you aware of the 'diving helm Mod' too? It allows you to breath underwater when wearing a Pumpkin helmet. I've not tried it yet, because of Notch's new update and having to bring my texture pack in line!
If your Edward Alphonse skin is your original why not show everyone on my thread for inspiration. :smile.gif:
Do you plan on making a full Texture Pack like PainterlyPack out of this. Complete with overhauled Mobs and Items?
Sure do! Bit by bit I'll get there. After finishing the Nether blocks, my next move is to work on converting the paintings to useful Steampunk gadgets instead of pictures. After that I'll finish off the the boat and mine cart, etc. After which I'll set to on the items and menus. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of time and I'm a slow careful worker, and as exciting as Notch's updates are, it means I'm always playing catch up! :sad.gif:
Hey Glimmar, for some reason when I go to the site and download it it isn't the 1.2.2 friendly, because when I look in the folder I don't see the newer pumpkins/etc, was this fixed yet?

Hi, Bomber57. I just downloaded my 1.3 texture pack from MediaFire using the link at the top of my Steampunk thread and I've checked and it does have the new Pumpkin textures. They are like the one's in the terrain.png file here...right in the middle:

Sure i can!
I thought maybe I should read the rest of the topic before posting the i saw it was 25 pages long and I "meh" :/
Cool dude there indeed! :smile.gif:
Yes, the thread is getting a bit tomb...ish! Lol. But definately worth looking at those pages for the diving helm stuff. 'Telgar' also put together a nice sound file for wearing the diving helm underwater.
I have a suggestion for lightstone ore, assuming you are still looking for ideas. Since it emits light, why not make it a fill-in for a lantern, until we get the "real" lanterns that Notch has promised? I've been playing around in Photoshop to create something as a placeholder until you come out with an assuredly better texture, and here's what I've come up with:
Standard 32x32 size:
Enlarged 128x128 (upscaled from 32x32 so it's easier to see):
Close up of in-game block:
Example "street lamps":
I'd have liked to make it a little less cube-shaped (more like http://imgur.com/vrWUK.jpg), but I figured that since it's a naturally occurring block, it would look pretty weird in big "clumps" if I did otherwise. Also, since there is only one face to work with, the options were pretty limited.
Anyway, just a thought. I look forward to seeing what you come up with!!
Edit: Oh, I should add that I used your glass texture as a base for this (though it's pretty obvious, I guess).
You can use the Hoverboat for that kind of thing, but the texturing options for the boat are pretty limited, no wings or props or balloons or anything like that. All textures can do is remove bits from the boat...
I don't understand either, but if I do what you just describe, then I only get the default water. When I manually install the 'terrain' file again into the minecraft.jar file, I get the green water. How are you finding the new dark wood? Hope it's not breaking your design brief. :smile.gif:
