omg
you have no idea of the awesomeness of this pack.
It's like darth vader fighting zombie pirate jesus underneath a storm of meteors. Also, there's a robot T-Rex trying to eat both
I still didn't dled it, i'm holding myself so I can try the whole package at once. But if I do, I will post screens.
i know this is supposed to be be colorful, but i think the wood is too white, i think it should be a little darker, and i think same with the stone, but just a little darker.and the obsidian looks like purple wood. and i dont like the cobble that much. i really like the cobble from flakcraft
My personal preferences and sense of aesthetics may clash with users some of the time. You can't please everyone. :smile.gif:
The wood actually has a green-hue to it already. It is not stark white. I like keeping it light. It provides a nice contrast to the color values of stone and earth (middle valued and dark valued, respectively). I'm trying to make sure that the textures don't have too much in common with one another value wise. That said, I'll definitely give a slightly darker value a shot.
Cobblestone is the one texture I keep experimenting with. By its nature, it is dreadfully similar to the raw stone. The key is to so differentiate it while still keeping them look like they clearly belong to the same family. I'm not sure this is the final iteration, but I do think it is a step in the right direction.
I'm going to incorporate as much feedback as possible so long as my overall goals with the pack aren't compromised in the implementation. I really appreciate the frank and honest opinions. Keep it coming! Thanks so much, Illusionist. Critique's awesome.
Quick request: can I get some real world screens from you guys testing the pack? I've really loved seeing what's been posted so far and it helps to give me an idea of what does and doesn't work for other people.
The cobblestone in that first pic looks right at home. It has just the right size of blocks so that you can view it from a distance and it doesnt look busy. That was a big goal of mine.
Just got the game today and obviously the game rocks and I'm having fun as hell. Love this pack a crap-ton. Keep it up as long as you can with the updates. I'll keep checking up on any further updates with this pack.
I added the UI/icons to the first post. If you put both in the GUI directory, they'll replace the current stuff. Once EVERYTHING is finished, I'll have it all in proper directories and the like. :smile.gif:
you've done a most excellent job with this texture pack, i love it up keep it up! (if you need any help with anything i'll be glad to assist as much as i can).
anywhoo it seems like the server that you used to host the files is down, oh noes!!! T.T iunno about everybody else but i can't see any of the files you've posted ( i get an error 500 from dropbox)
either way great job, thanks for all the hard work!
