So I made a patch to fix the glitches with 32x32 textures. It puts the water, lava, fire, and compass animations where they belong and makes them the right size. (Actually the compass needle is still/will become too small, but it works.) Note the animations don't use textures and will just replace graphics from the pack with the normal look.

To install, first install a 32x32 (512x512) pack like brown and bloom. Then put mcpatcher.jar in your .minecraft/bin folder and run it. It should move the original minecraft.jar to minecraft.original.jar and patch minecraft.jar.
If you're getting the "can't find minecraft.jar" error when using Open With > Java, do Open With and make java the default program, and then double click it.

Or just place it in your .minecraft/bin/ folder and give it a run. >.>

Most people have set jar files to be associated with winrar, so they don't open with java.
And it'll due until Notch gets out an official fix :wink.gif:
You have Wolfmans seal of aproval.
1) Right click, properties, open this file type with, select "Java"
2) Double click it when it becomes a java icon instead of a winRAR icon
Have you tried Minecraft AutoMap?

Edit:
Run it from your .minecraft folder.

I've set .jar to open with java, i have the file in .minecraft/bin/.....but when I double click on it, this happens:
A cmd box appears for a split second, and thats all....it doesn't do anything, all the blocks are still messed up, why isnt it working?
... no it doesn't. You're using a pack that is not 32px
Oh ok, I thought the one I have was, but I guess not.
