Please note that the pictures in the OP are of the standard resolution pack, not the HD, but you can see some if you turn to page 3!
I love when games like WoW or TF2 have a Halloween celebration event. Realizing that my current obsession had no such event, and probably would not [lol wrong], I decided to take matters into my own hands, and create this Spooky Halloween themed Texture Pack.

Daytime shot Wood and artwork! Deep beneath the earth. Pumpkin patches!
Those totally non-scary wheat crops have been replaced with terrifying pumpkin patches that yield pumpkins and pumpkin seeds. Why do pumpkin seeds come from grass? Because shut up. Also note that jack-o-lanterns have replaced those sissy flowers, well unless you opt for package 2, that is.
Candy!
Jawbreakers and chocolate replace red and brown mushrooms respectively. Since they're found in caves with zombies and skeletons, I guess that sort of makes it like reverse trick-or-treating.
New gui!
Pumpkins can be used to create delicious pumpkin pie. Who wants bland bread anyway? The jawbreakers and chocolate combine to make a trick-or-treat bowl. Okay, so it's just a bowl of candy. What else was I supposed to do?
You can also see an example of the new spooktacular gui design!
Chicken Sheep Pigs Cow
New mob reskins! Chickens have become fat, flightless ravens, and sheep now come in two spine tingling varieties: Ghost and Skeleton. Pictured above is the ghost variety. Under their sheets they are completely invisible, just like real sheep ghosts! Don't worry, they still cast a shadow, so if you're really so intent on killing them, it's not too hard. Skeleton sheep are less invisible under those ragged coverings. Do you dare steal its cloth and discover what lies underneath? It's probably just a skeleton, but who can know for sure!
As of October 1st, Pigs are wrapped in mysterious, aged bandages. Perhaps they were the victims of a terrible barbecue accident, or perhaps it points to something worse. Something like an ancient curse, maybe? Return the slaaab!
Cows are now skeletons as well. Where's the beef? Certainly not on the cow anymore.
Be sure to redownload the main packs if you downloaded before October 6th! Take a look at the terrain.png! Read the instructions below if you need help.

Complete package includes optional replacements for sheep, flowers, leaves, and torches. For flowers, leaves, and torches, the textures are all present in the terrain.png, but you will have to put them in the correct places yourself if you want to use one of non-default options. If you don't have an image editing program that can handle transparency, then try using GIMP.
Sound replacements for sheep and chickens. Spooky Sounds
Place these in your resources folder after opening Minecraft, otherwise they will be overwritten when you open the game. If you want to prevent them from being overwritten every time you start the game, then use epinull's Sound Mod Enabler.
For those of you using the pack, please go ahead and tell me what you think needs to be changed or improved, and I'll do my best to change it.
Thank you all for the compliments! If anyone has any constructive criticism or ideas for improvement, I encourage you to let me know.
I'm terribly sorry about this, but its impossible to give any form of criticism against this. But it would be nice if you modified the items more. Also I combined this with my current one. I've completely phased Kas's Textures out of my pack.
I was thinking about changing the armor to look like different Halloween costumes. Cloth, being the lowest tier, would give you the lowest tier costume: a sheet ghost costume. Iron could become a skeleton costume, but beyond that I have no idea what to do with diamond armor or gold armor.
Gentlemen, behold! A sheep ghost! The only thing tying the sheep ghost to our world is its sheet. Steal that and it has nothing. I've also created a version with a spooky sheep skeleton underneath for those who don't want invisible undead sheep messing with their crops.
Also, the chickens are now ravens! Clucking, slightly chubby ravens. They look less like black blobs during the day, trust me.
Not shown above; I've reskinned all armor into Halloween costumes. Cloth armor is now a ghost sheet, iron armor is a skeleton costume, diamond armor is a zombie costume, and gold armor is now pumpkins.
I'll release all this tomorrow after Notch releases the update. I need to think of the best way to package multiple options until then...
For my Halloween texture pack, I plan to combine this with Painterly Pack's Halloween reskin. Taking the best parts from each.
This looks really nice, and I applaud your hard work. :smile.gif:

Anyway, this is awesomely cool. I won't use it though, I've got my own spooky textures...

Now, if only I knew what to do with pigs and cows...
Can't wait to see what else you do.
