I kinda find it interesting that he's hosting this pack on a site that's all about itself, let alone he's asking for donations. But anyway, I'm liking the tools a lot, so I'll put those along with my zelda/doku textures.
Before the website was made he posted updates solely on the SomethingAwful forums, which not alot of people here go to.

I guess people are using like 640x480 cuz at 1920x1200 it's a different tale lol
Really? I'm using a resolution of 1920x1080 (just got my pc hooked up to my big flat screen recently) and it looks just as good as it did on my 1280x1024 monitor.

I'm also not really a fan of Painterly's gold tools... too blocky...
Hence the description for the gold tools on the website-
On the opposite end of the spectrum of diamond tools, are of course the gold tools. What kind of idiot would waste gold on tools? The worst kind, apparently. These tools reflect that in their theme - namely that of someone who literally had no idea what they were doing, and sort of crudely mashed together the component wood sticks and gold ingots into a vague facsimilie of the item they were trying to create. A great gag gift for parties. If gag items aren't your cup of tea, not to fret! Also included are 'kingly' versions of the gold tools - as ornamental, opulent, and scepter-like as they are, even in these impressive states, impractical.
If you check the first post (and the website), it has been updated with alternate gold tools.

I like it, but not a big fan of the gold weapons and the armor (except the leather :biggrin.gif:)
I edited the glass and the cursor. I'll post a few pictures of my updates after I make my own armor and such. :biggrin.gif:

Oh hey, saw a new update added to the Painterly Pack today
I must seriously have no life because that's two in one day.
Anyways, following changes based on community requests:
- new slimeball texture matches slime mobs
- new rose alternate that replaces the yellow flowers which replaced the...uh...red flowers originally. Hugs away!
- new bluegrey clay and clay bricks options, and icons for bricks and clay wads, that more closely match the colours of the original clay while still being somewhat distinguishable from stone so it's not annoying in your inventory screen.
This utility will allow you to select from the various options and alternative textures provided with the Painterly Pack, and then creates a personalized Painterly Pack zip file with those options already pre-installed, requiring that you simply install the pack itself into Minecraft to enable the chosen graphics. A Readme file with instructions on installing the pack is automatically included with the created archive.
Updating first post with the new tool, also look for a new update including the compass very soon.

That Customize tool is rather awesome, and what...A compass soon, awesome.
Look no further, it is here.
Painterly Pack Update
COMPASSES ADDED to both the default zip and the customizer.
Picture just ripped from my website because I'm too lazy to make a new one for a single graphic.
When the little red notch lines up with the red needle, you're facing spawnward (roughly, the compass isn't the most accurate thing in the world with only like 24 directions it can point). Just tested it myself, works fine in game.

Try this combination...
Doku's RPG terrain and Mixcraft items
Not because its mine, I just think its a really good combination

That's the point. The look horibly made because there horrible. It was sopposed to be funny.

THIS ^^^
The shovel is that way on purpose so when you swing it,
it looks like youre digging the dirt instead of wacking the dirt

OMFG IS THAT THREE STRIPS OF BACON
The Quick Fix!
Click the creeper!
Haha, that's one of the reasons I love this pack, nothing better then frying up some bacon on the furnace to restore my health.
Also, first post updated with some screenshots I took.
(only TWO strips of bacon)
The Quick Fix!
Click the creeper!
Ha, the more bacon the better I suppose, despite the health implications.
Doesn't seem like Kas is interested in doing an HD pack till the glitches are fixed,
Also introducing the The Painterly Pack Customizer Tool
