Have you asked permission from all of the creators of the textures? Otherwise, its just stealing
I agree. I'm disturbed by this. I understand that you trying to get the best textures from every texture-pack, but at least ask before adding.

Thanks for the head's up. I did the same thing, combining all the best elements from all texture packs and then polishing them so they all suit each other. The resulting pack is something I instantly reinstall with each patch it's just that good.
I was considering releasing it for others to try but was worried some people may get the wrong idea. You've confirmed it and saved me the troubles. Thanks.

Yeah I know what you mean, every once in a while someone gets the wrong idea and tries to call me out on it.
That's why I've been replacing all of the textures one by one with my own custom ones
That way I eventually have only custom textures, while still having a good looking pack
It looks very nice! Although I think I'll stay with my current pack.
And on the 'stealing' issue.
If he uses other people's work in his pack, the owner shouldn't get mad, they should be HONORED that someone likes their texture. And he isn't selling the pack, or taking credit for the textures. He took what he believes to be good textures, and combined them to create a good looking pack. He's being open and honest and telling you it isn't all his work. I wish everyone could act like that..
Heh, this is what I've been doing for my textures. I love all of these packs people make, but sometimes I'll see blocks that I don't like much and I'll find a better version from another pack and mix and match until I get a good set.

I liked a lot of different things from a lot of different packs, so I just put them all together,
and then later changed most of the textures with Paint.net to be even more like what I wanted
Now I have a successful pack that looks good and has mostly my own custom textures,
so all in all I'm pretty happy with how it turned out
Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity.
I would like to change a few more things though... any textures you think need changing?
I would like cobble stone to look darker and smoother. I dunno, there's something about it I dont really like compared to some other packs. Don't get me wrong I do really like this pack, just something about the cobble stone I dont like.

Sounds good, I will make it a bit darker and see if I can make it tile better too
Anyone who has suggestions better hurry, I'm planning on releasing Version 8 tonight
So far I've got...
- My own custom fishing pole texture
- Slightly darker and smoother cobblestone
- Slightly darker stone and mossy cobblestone
- Better workbench (same texture, just refined a bit)
- More paintings
I think you should make the grass SLIGHTLY darker. It seems so, vibrant... just a bit unrealistic. I don't use miracle grow.
I've noticed a glitch, when I demolish Leaves. The 'air' in that block turns slightly blue.
Other then that, that's great :biggrin.gif:

As for the blue in the air of the grass, thats because the "cracking" texture covers the air
(the texture that makes blocks look like they are cracking when you hit them)
I can't really do anything about that, but at least you only see it for a split second
Also, which I forgot to add: Maybe make the furnaces a bit more leveled? They look so much cruder on High Detail.
Maybe make darker and shaded, so they could look better in HD?
I also suggest an original steel door. Like, with a minotaur head door-knocker on it, to look like... tough.
Also, the seeds are hard to distinguish from tree saplings, in my opinion.

Honestly, I'm relatively happy with Version 7, but I promise I will continue working on creating Version 8
