It's been a few months since I last updated my texture pack, but I just finished quite the large update. I think mostly everything has been changed in some way since the last version. I got a new site up (seems like I do a lot), it's no http://painterlypack.net with it's awesome customizer features, but it's got pretty pictures at least. There's a bunch of alternate skins for you to use in the folder named "alternatives", like different seasons and a optional stained wood.
SMP's Realistic is no more. Well, just rebranded. It's now SMP's Texture Pack. "Realistic" was a retarded and unfortunate choice I made way back in the very first version of my texture pack. It was never really realistic anyway. My texture pack has come a long way from the very firstversion way back in October, 2009. I stopped supporting my 16x16 texture pack in favor of this 32x32. Every single texture and graphics file is redone completely. There's a bunch of alternate skins for you to use in the folder named "alternatives", like different seasons and a optional stained wood.
Note about errors:
Note about errors: Right now there's a few bugs with using a higher res skin. These bugs include: fire on gold and bricks, unanimated water, glitchyness around tools, oh and THE ENTIRETY OF THE NETHERLANDS being made of pure water. Don't bother asking me about them because it's up to Notch to officially fix them. There is a user-made fix for them though which you can get on these forums.
Note about alternatives: Alternatives will always have second priority to main texture updates. There's a handful of them in the folders that are edits of old textures. I will eventually get around to updating them.
Great job on this one! If I were to make one comment though is I don't really like the new "Hearts", but other than that it's a huge improvement on your other Realistic pack.
I love the skins, though I have one small problem, the brick blocks are relatively borked, since there's an animated fire with a transparent background in the corner, enabling me to see a bit of the underground, which is cool, but it isn't suited for creative work :sad.gif:
But it's a small problem, and doesn't subtract any enjoyment at all :smile.gif:

From the OP:
Yes, I do know about the bugs about water, lava and fire. No, there's nothing I can do about it.
I'm just happy it happens on my least used blocks ever.

Could you please give the cow the colors of the game default one? With the brown skin and gray spots.
The one thing I really didn't like about the default cow texture, was the brown skin with gray spots. So no I guess.

It's not a simple recolour. I didn't save any .psds and I don't make these skins using pixel art. I just abuse the hell out of photoshop tools. Anyway, here you go, I think it looks like ****, but you may not;

Um... this is what happened when i tried to put any of the files in(i used winrar:
! Cannot rename __rzi_03.984 to C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin\minecraft.jar
! Cannot create C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin\minecraft.jar
! The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.

Kill anything using Java, then try. If it doesn't work... then idk.

Move minecraft.jar to your desktop, do the process then stick it back.

Any creative version? If none.. Sad sad face face.
First time using a 32p pack I didnt know the texture glitch allowed you to see underground lol...I was like Oh my gold blocks have a fire animation so I got up close and on top and it in the corner I could see all the tunnels underground and a few skeletons walking around lmao.

It's 32p, can't do a creative version.
I hope notch adds support for these textures soon...
