If it were me making the texture pack, I would work the texture of the smooth stone (that's the floor on the lower picture, right?) since it doesn't tile well and looks really repetitive, and I would try to figure out how to spice up the wood, as it looks somewhat bland. I like how the cobblestone and glass go together, though.
I'm pretty sure he is working on top of another texturepack so that isn't his wood or stone.
Feedback much appreciated!
Tell me if it's too hard to see or anything.

You could theoretically make a church of evil with that retexture.
Nice.
One step ahead of you. You can see in this picture how I'm messing around with the sky texture, too.

This is correct.

The floor is half blocks, I agree with the wood, I'll be making my own version soon enough. The texture pack I'm using is this one.

Good to know, although I'm thinking that the cobblestone, while good, doesn't go with the vision I have for this tileset, but I'm keeping it as alt texture and perhaps will use it as part of a later reskin if I ever get to that.
You can also see the very early stage tree texture. I'm trying to go for a gnarled look for the trees.

I can't really tell what most of them are supposed to be to be honest.
I like the eye one too, but yeah, some of them are just...
Odd. Like they wouldn't make sense to be made out of wood.
Maybe the above picture will make it clearer.
If not; From top-left to bottom-right:
1. purplish chest with single eye ornament
2. the ornate chest
3. workstation covered with sheets (it will look better in reality)
4. chest covered with sheets (it will look better in reality)
5. chest with tooth-like decoration (it will have more chest-like parts when done)
6. chest with eyes (it will have more chest-like parts when done)
Otherwise, you have to be more clear about what you mean!
1. I really like this one! So far, at least judging by the chicken, it fits right in with the rest of the stuff you've shown.
2. ...But I like this one a lot more. This one's my favorite, actually. It's just so gaudy, the way a treasure chest should be! :biggrin.gif:
3 and 4. It's hard to tell from just the tiny little sketch! But if you can pull it off, I'm sure it'll look nice.
5. I like this idea a lot, too. Reminds me of the luggage from discworld.
6. I like the single eye a lot more. With the gaudy colors!

Persevering businessmen like myself will not be dissuaded by such baseless criticism and naysaying.
Since wood isn't gunmetal/black colored in real life, perhaps you could use that texture for the half-blocks instead (unless you already had something else planned for half-blocks).

*assuming this texture pack is supposed to be realistic*
Seriously, would you REALLY expect the wood to be like...wood? if you actually READ any of the other posts, you'd know that this is ANYTHING,but realistic >_>
Au contraire, it seems that you didn't read my post. It is also possible that you have failed to make your point, provided that you did not present it well.
Also: I would refrain from using statements such as your last post ("forget it,theres [sic] no point in trying to make you understand >_<") and your post before that ("Seriously, would you REALLY expect the wood to be like...wood? if you actually READ any of the other posts, you'd know that this is ANYTHING,but realistic >_>") as it is off topic and/or conceivably inflammatory.
If I were you, I would also work on taking the time to make sure my posts were punctuated accurately, as it takes next to no effort and will ensure that the other forum-goers will take you seriously.

Oh right,Because talking about the texture pack is off-topic...
The color is not set in stone but the design certainly is, tell me what you think.

The idea is that they will be covered in sheets, like unused furniture, I admit I did not try as hard as I could to really get the idea across. The way I did it they look like they are covered in plastic.
Judging by all the responses (and my own personal preferences,) I will be doing all or most of the designs for the chest.

I do, half-blocks will be fancy flooring, possibly checkerboard. I am thinking red and yellow, but we will see what I do.

gunmetal wood still doesn't fit in with the rest of the pack.
Maybe you could explain how rather than just stating an opinion?

Ah, okay. I wasn't entirely sure, as they indeed look like they're covered in plastic in the sketch. (Though being covered in plastic would be fairly creepy, honestly. Either way could work!)

Wooden planks gone horribly wrong/right.
What do you think of the other designs?
I like the eye/purple chest :3

Maybe if you put something like runes on the wood.

And maybe you should make the logs the same color as the wood planks?
