I LOVE what you're doing with this! I agree 100% with all your choices, except for the Super Scope. The Star Rod would have been a better option (as it was in a Mario game - Paper Mario), but I still like everything :biggrin.gif:. Kudos!

Finally find a suitable sun texture. For a while, I was trying to get the sun that took you to the wing cap course to work, but there was no way to get it to look good without removing the clouds, but then it's just a circle. So, I took the sun from one of the many backgrounds used in the game (it's all the same sun.)

Slimes have been replaced with Boos. In true Super Mario 64 fashion, they subtly contain Blue Coins, which you can then collect.

After failing to find a good sponge texture, I decided to go the decorative route, since sponges are useless in-game. Now you can have Peach's Castle's interior-styled bricks!
I also changed wheat to look more wheat-colored, and added a snazzy readme for anyone who wants it.

I would've considered the Star Rod, but since I made Skeletons Snufits, I needed something that would be able to fire round bullets (since your arrows and skeleton arrows are the same texture), which lead me to the Super Scope.
This looks absolutely amazing. Just one problem; I can't install it. I followed the instructions in the read-me, and I even tried a YouTube video tutorial, which did not work.
What happens is, when I move the files into the archive, I get a pop-up window stating that the archive is corrupt. In the YouTube tutorial, this same thing happened. However, it still worked for him. Any help?

Really? Nobody knows?
EDIT:
I got it working. For anyone else having this problem; simply delete the /bin folder, and start up Minecraft. Minecraft will automatically reinstall the files, and then it should work fine. Repeat as necessary.
Also, THANKS FOR THIS ****ING AWESOME TEXTURE PACK!
Please do remember to update this at halloween release. Bacause if you don't, I'll be looking at a lol-cobblestone-white-wool-floors-super-mario-64-castle...
I'll probably jsut edit the pack a bit myself until you release something tho :tongue.gif:
Well I'll be damned, God himself has taken up Minecraft re-texturing!

Thank you both for the kind words, and I'd like to thank everyone who downloaded, helping me reach 281 downloads! I never expected nearly that much!

Yes yes, I remembered. The latest update adds everything to be Halloween compliant. Some are placeholder, but I managed to replace the three main hell blocks.
Took a long time messing with the grass/trees to get them to have the same coloration as the old grass/trees, while keeping biome changing grass/trees. You can see the result here, grass/trees are more "summery" near the desert. http://i54.tinypic.com/33jh26r.jpg
In another thread some guys figured out just what part of the trianlge pic that is the overlay for grass and leaves corresponds to which biome.
Here is a relevant picture and explanation so that you can customize the color for each biome:

I reversed the code and generated an image that should show exactly how the biomes map to the two colors.png files.

Did you really need to post that in like, every thread? Don't get me wrong, it's very useful, but I've already replaced the grasscolor and foliagecolor in my pack. Plus, it's pretty much spam.
Yeah, I already mentioned that and this was his awful response

It would be spam if it was a totaly irelevant post that had nothing ot do what-so-ever with the topics it was posted in. Besides, the total amount of texture pack topics in the 5 pages I looked through probably only totaled 2 whole pages in the mapping & moding section.

I'm liking what I'm seeing. Do you have any plans for bow & arrows? One thought, when I heard of the hammer as the sword, was to play arrows as the opposite weapon in the RPGs, a Koopa Troopa Shell. :biggrin.gif: (Perhaps the "bow" could be a hand, like you're getting ready to kick it or something?)
Skeletons could then be made into Koopa Troopas... >.>
EDIT: Oooo, do want to see Slimes as Thwomps/Thwimps
Well there are koopas that kick other koopas but those are in the later games :/

Blue Koopas that had lost their shell in SMW kicked any shells in their way. I've borrowed from SMW before, since it pre-dates SM64.

EDIT: Hey look 64 replies! And how do I "update" your texture pack?
Thanks. Yeah, my photobucket blew up and I didn't finish transferring the pics to tinypic.
Oh, and all updates are included in the latest version.

The HD patch has since fixed that. Portals are still wonky, though.

The HD Patch was still at v1.1.6 when I tried, so I'll try again later.

Anyway, I'm happy with the Super Scope bow.
