yeah i use this texture pack the terrain and SMPS realistic pack for everything else. Oh and the fire animation is there because i think the fire texture or whatever is hard coded into the specific area that the brick takes up. Im not sure though, im no programmer :S
This is the only HD pack ill use since the others arent to my taste. Looks great :biggrin.gif:
Not only you but I also read it in another hi-res thread, bricks are broken for hi-res. Dx
Edit: Appears Gold Blocks have the same issues as bricks from looking in my storage chests, however that doesn't matter as I've never had enough of those to use them for building before.
I had no idea about the fire parts, I thought they just happened when you had the ultra-hires textures, sucks though that I can't do anything about that :sad.gif: Along with fire/water/lava animations.
Well hopefully Notch will make some edits that fix the issues with hi-res packs eventually. I'll keep using your pack until my current project (Rapture) requires either Gold or Brick blocks as it's really nice and easier on the eyes underwater than the stock textures.
Not sure how to ask this, but brocklehurst, would it be too much to ask if you did another terrain file wit the cobblestone looking like bricks, like they did in their first beta, along with the newer cacti and obsidian textures? I really liked how you made the cobblestone look in the original, so would it be to much to ask? If not i completely understand.
You could have just replaced the pink the pink block next to the fire with another fire, but I guess you didn't know that. (this has been untested by me, but I have read it works.
While I think the graphics of minecraft are part of its allure (for me), I must say this is a pretty good texture pack for providing enhanced graphics without losing too much of the charm :smile.gif:.
Been using brown&bloom until stumbling upon this. Very nice work I've been looking for a hd pack with original GUI since b&b has bars instead of hearts.

The only (and I mean only) problem I found is that the water and fire textures are static. They don't move at all.
