Tried making torches green. Threw off the balance and didn't look great. Anyways, just tell yourself they're blue LED's. Since when does the colour of the fuel used effect the colour of an electric light? Think about it.
I retextured glass so that you could see through it much easier. It now ties a bit closer to sand. Made a bunch of minor improvements, as well as an alternative loading bar which I will offer up later. Once I finish retexturing the creeper I'll repackage.
As for people having problems managing the files... really all it is is open the file, select all, and drag into the root of the minecraft.jar in sneakpeak. Simple as pies. If you're having problems opening the .jar perhaps you don't have a proper unzipper? I use 7zip which handles most types of files and is free.
To remove the texture pack, all you really have to do is delete the sneakpeak folder and reload indev. It will redownload vanilla for you.
In other news I tried to fraps a video, but for some reason people doing so are having their videos turn very dark once uploaded to youtube. I don't quite understand whats going on there but here's the link anyway.
awesome.
I wish my parents would let me buy this game :/
When I tried it the first it didn't work, I deleted the sneak peek and ended up redownloading the sneak_peek but now it isn't in that folder, I was planning on doing a future sort of Minelife.

Talent didn't go anywhere, it just gets lost in all the noise. You have to find it.
I used 7zip, copied the texture pack into the jar file, double checked to make sure the jar file was properly modified, cleared every cache I knew about, including Java's separate cache, started my browser as a fresh instance with none open before, then opened the indev page.
I got back vanilla indev.
I really think there's some cache file somewhere I'm missing. Did you change any settings?
If it helps at all, I'm using Sun Java 1.6.0-07 in Firefox.

Why are you clearing cashes? Open (don't extract) the minecraft.jar. Drag the files from from the texturefiles folder in the future texture pack, into the root of the jar. click yes if it asks you if you want to replace files. Close everything. Done.
This texture pack looks great, though I won't try it as I'm not into custom texure mods myself.
I had one thought when I took a look at the screenshot though. The texture on the leaves looks great, but the colour of the leaves seem to look a little bit too organic to me. They seem slightly out of place in the future setting they are in. Maybe there's a more suiting shade of green, or other colour that would fit better?

I did exactly that. I got back vanilla minecraft. I thought it might be reading some other file from a cache, so I cleared caches. No effect.
I'm updating Java to the latest version just to see if that's the reason.
Edit: I updated Java, and then deleted the entire minecraft_sneakpeek folder.
It didn't redownload the applet. It reloaded the applet instantly as if nothing had happened.
Is there any chance someone could re-upload this texture pack? The link on page one seems to be dead...
I think I still have it... let me see...
EDIT1: Indeed I do. Re-Uploading for you. :wink.gif:
EDIT2: Uploaded.
A few things to note: this is the original version, without the later changes. You should probably use the terrain.png listed on page 2, since it is likely updated from my version.
This is for INDEV. If you want to use it with alpha, you'll have to copy-pasta the "future" stuff into the newer pngs.
Also, this link will go away if OP fixes his download link.
1.) Download
2.) UnZip
3.) Standard Reskin Procedures Here
4.) And Here
5.) And Here as Well
6.) Open Indev (or Alpha, if you changed the pngs accordingly)
7.) Open a Save
8.) ???
9.) Enjoy
10.) I like lists that go to 10. :smile.gif:
EDIT3: New link for a download that does NOT infringe on Notch's copyrights (aka, doesn't have the whole .jar, just the reskin). :smile.gif:

Ahh, thank you very very much for this! I had already grabbed the updated texture.png before this, so I'll make sure to toss that one in there. I do actually plan on trying to update this skin myself for Alpha, though even if I make it I won't be posting it unless I can get Cheap Shot's permission first. Thanks again for the help!
GRRR... I had replies all typed out and then the forum gets too many connections. Curse you connections!

Isn't it still the case that we are not to distribute the .jar file, coolpilot? Not that I would know for sure either way.:
Hmmm... you're probably right. Don't want to anger Notch.
I'll be re-uploading a version with ONLY the files related to the reskin. It'll take a few minutes...
EDIT: Done. :smile.gif:

I'm playing minecraft right now while the http://www.minecraft.net folder is empty.

Edit 2: *Facepalm* Looks like my computer was using a folder called 'minecraft.net' instead of 'www.minecraft.net' ...
Modifying the .jar file in 'minecraft.net' worked like a charm.
Ah well, thanks anyway CheapShot!
is this texture pack dead? too bad- it looks really awesome.
