Would anyone like to take a stab at reskinning the creeper? I don't know what I'm doing with that texture map.
I've remodeled most of the tools and added variation. Axes changed to buzz saws. Picks changed to drill hammers. Added some hoe variety. Changed arrows to lazers. Changed the bow to a blaster. Changed feathers to blaster fuel. Changed string to bolts. Changed the flint and steel to a zippo. Added a loading bar in place of cracks (which ended up looking more or less the same as the one posted earlier) I changed some other things too but I forget what they were. Load it up and find out.
Things I couldn't change: The trees looked awful when I brightened them. They will remain the same. They looked fine anyway. The colour of the light that the LED torches gives off. That's beyond me. Lava and water are unchangeable to me. No glowing future goo pools sorry.
Things I don't feel like changing: Creeper. I changed most of the others, and the mandroid looks great, but I don't have the time to figure out new texture maps. Shovels. I like shovels, and don't really know what the hand held equivalent of one in the future would be. The rest of the tools are interesting now anyway. Bread - it's blue now. They will eat blue bread in the future and they will like it. Also the windows such as crafting and inventory. Feel free to decorate those yourselves. If I make my own I will share them.
Now allow me to repackage the new texture pack and throw it up for grabs again.

I love what you've done with the lasers.
Although i haven't totally tried it out.
For the mobs, why not make them blast Red lasers, and us Blue,
Sorta like Star War's droids,
Anyway, good luck on future improvements.

Yah I haven't been playing creative enough Roze, sorry. I'd love to make personal lazers a different colour but I believe they use the same model as the skeletons unfortunately.
Edit: I added a crafting table to help people figure out the new materials whatnot.

The arrows use a different model. The top arrow is yours and the bottom is the skeletons, or is it vice versa?

Yellow=front
Orange=Left side
Blue=Right side
Purple=Back
Red=Top
Green=Bottom
A great mod, but I'm too used to the regular texture, however, I did edit the block breaking status bar into the standard texture file, and still looks great.
EDIT: anyone know any good sites with unlimited uploading, free, and I can get image url. Shutterfly makes things look more like garbage then they are, and I used to use flckr, but you only get a few MB without paying.
Creepers could be malfunctioning robots, with chips and wires exposed. Zombies could be...something badass.
Skeletons could be awesome robots that shoot lasers at you. Not sure what pigs and sheeps could be.

call me stupid here but, were can i find the mine craft texture folder? I own a mac, and all tutorials on how are windows based, however i do use parallels, could they have possibly have saved in the windows part? Do you know?

Thanks for that texturemap! I'll see what I can do now. Would anyone considering getting me maps for the other mobs as well? I'm not 100% satisfied with them. (Except the mandroid)
As for the arrows(lasers), if you look, they are already different colours in the arrow texture file. It seems both the player and skeletons fire the upper texture. If anyone can find a way around this be my guest.

Amazing work! Though I had to do a bit of research to figure out how to open the .jar file to begin with. You might put a note in your readme about changing the extension to .zip, then changing it back again when the edit's done.
Edit: I did exactly what it said in the readme and got back vanilla Indev. I'm playing it using Sun Java in Firefox, is there some separate cache I need to clear? I tried clearing the browser cache after it didn't work the first time.
Why don't you change the orange to white. It may look better then.
