PixelStacker is a program built to make multi layer pixel art using blocks from Minecraft. It incorporates the use of stained glass stacked on top of other blocks in-game. The result is better blending and more color selections. It is my hope that you enjoy this program. I made this program as a proof of concept for creating high quality pixelart. This program provides a few viewing options to help you actually build the art in-game. You can also save to PNG or Schematic format. Most importantly. You can use the double layer mode which combines stained glass panels with newer Minecraft blocks to create an even larger color pallet.
^ Seriously. I highly recommend it. The website looks nice.
If you like the tool, or you like something you've built with it, make a reply post and share your build with others! I want to see what people use the tool for.
im kind of upset that i have yet to hear someone speak of this tool, usually whenever i ask for a pixel art tool ppl imediately say "spritecraft" and dont get me wrong spritecraft is cool but blocks are kind of limited

Honestly, it feels like no one ever has any idea this software exists. I posted an update btw. New features, new bug fixes, better efficiency, and it works for 1.13.1 now. Even includes the new sponge schematic format as well.

Someone sent me a PM about a month ago asking for a feature to help people see what blocks they are looking at. I've made an update to the program to include multi-layer view, and a context menu for viewing data about a clicked block when viewing in render mode.
@_reborn nope, not yet. No one has made any videos for it. Someone should though! Also- there have been many more updates to the program. Support for 1.14 blocks, support for material filters, color palette generation.... many many more. I'll have to make a post explaining it all later tonight.
Good lord this thread is lonely. Latest update includes an improved color palette picker as well as color profiles and 1.16 blocks. Also improved color cache sizes. Check out some example output: This uses minecraft blocks. You can see more of it posted on the pixelstacker website.

How do you change the size of the generated image? Say I only wanted 16 blocks x 16 blocks, how would I do that?
Would I be allowed to use this tool to help create a map? I will provide the website address and the creator's name.
Go for it! I like when people use it and then tell me about their projects.
It'll be in one of those options menus. CTRL + SHIFT + E

Really sorry to ask but is there a video tutorial a guide for the options?
