Forget Techne and all its bugs and limitations!
MCAnimator is a new free editor that let you create your own Minecraft models and animate them without knowing how to code.
Similar to Techne graphic, but completely made in Java for a perfect compatibility with all the computers, the MCAnimator will make your life a lot easier.
Creating a new model is simple and the new parent-child box system will let you easily create complex animations, something that you cannot do with other softwares without a good Java knowledge.
Many tools are included in the software and the texture offsets won't be a problem anymore, you can just drag and drop the textureMap with few clicks!
We will soon create an official website with tutorials, forum and an official public archive for the models you want to share!
This software is still work in progress, but the first official release will be ready soon, press "Like" for more news!
WORK-IN-PROGRESS FEATURES
- Creating the 3D scene
- Coding the motion of the flying camera
- Creating the lights for the scene
- Swing GUI for editing values, boxes, texturemap and animations
- Parent-child box system
- Animations with rotations and translations of boxes
- In-software texture editor for easily adjust the texturemap and paint the real texture
you can't rly say forget techne right?i mean this is just an upgraded techne the only changes there are is you can color in models(no detail):P,you an animate models in the program,you can't rly say forget techne which is something alot of people use thats messed up!
By tweaking the exported file, there should be a way to make the models compatible. I think figured out how to do this with a different Minecraft modeling program a while back (not Techne).
Let me dig up the notes I took, and I'll get back to you.
UPDATE:
I'm having trouble finding a few things, but this might help you:
1. Get a model that works in MCCreator.
2. Find the differences in the headers.
If your model is called "name" then your class is going to be defined like this:
public class Modelstuff extends ModelBase
Ditto when you define the objects in it:
public Modelstuff()
