So I am making a CTM map that can safely be described as "like no other" and I find myself with a pressing need for a unique filter. Specifically, I need to be able to rotate the hinge point of about 34000 trapdoors with mcedit. What would also be useful would be opening and shutting them as well.
Oh, and if the filter would be able to do these randomly it would save a little time. Thank you. Since I imagine they have similar coding, this filter would be useful with doors and iron doors as well.
I promise that this is not some kind of bizarre joke. I really do need to rotate trap doors. Anyone who is interested in seeing this CTM should probably help make this filter. Thank you.
Oh, and I imagine this is a similar problem to one I encountered with chests. I do not want to go through that again.
That's a lot of trapdoors, I have no idea what "CTM" is, but I think making a "filter" to rotate/open/close trap doors seems like a waste of energy. You could get bukkit and use world edit, select the area with all the trapdoors, and say //replace 96 96:#,96:#
(the first 96:# being the damage value for the direction you want the trapdoors to face [I don't know the damage values of the directions] and the second one being the open damage value of the same direction)
That would do the same thing, I think...

I believe that CTM Means Complete The Monument.
OP. I am not that well with MCEdit so if you're asking for help as much as I would like to help. I cannot...
Well you are 100% right. The damage values of trapdoors changes both their hinge points and whether they are open or shut. This means I can do what I want with a simple random blocks filter from sethbling, as it has a "data value" row. I knew that controlled the colour of wool or wood, but I didn't know it also meant the direction of blocks. Thanks for your help and for giving a really quick reply.
