I love this launcher so much! It's so helpful, nostalgic and still works like a charm! I hope it never dies.

Is there a way to change the base directory ML looks at? By default, it uses the .minecraft directory inside of AppData/Roaming, which I do NOT want to use. Is there a way to force it to use a different base minecraft directory?

I see it in Options->Location, but that field is not editable.

Edit: I see that I can change it per-profile, BUT I need to load environments from that directory.

ALSO: "Last folder name has to be ".minecraft"

Really? WHY? WHY *must* it be *anything*? >.<

Shouldn't Mojang be minecraft.net now?

The Mojang tab will be used for any news that's not relevant to Minecraft. So, I was wondering if you could change the Mojang tab.

So you're telling me that if I get the magic launcher I just need to download the mods and then easily add them. You posted this download 5 years ago so this probably doesn't work. I have never used mods but I kind of want to so...

It can not use the custom closed source java downloaded from Mojang . It is not the full Java , plus 1.8.0 build 25 security is out dated .

Java 9 is the current release but i can not say that there is compatibility with all mods . Get Java 8 build 144 , for your OS here

Same issue as @CompQuartz for 17w49b. Either snapshots are meant not to work with Magic Launcher or else in the future we can't use ML anymore with 1.13's and later versions in the future if no update is pushed :/ I prefer using Magic Launcher because I don't need to reenter the pwd everytime incase of token expires

So much for this being an alternative for installing Optifine on Beta 1.8.1

I can't get Magic Launcher to work at all (won't connect, won't launch, not even test) (might be because I use a USB install of MC)

Shame because I used it back in 1.7 before I took a big pause from MC, and I really hoped to come back to it >.>

Is there any real equivalent? (and no I don't want multiMC. This thing create multiple copies of MC, I don't want multiple copies, I want real, actual, profiles. Magic Launcher was gold when it came to that...)
