Mine crashes every time I try to drag and drop a mod. It still shows up in the instMods folder, but the mod doesn't load. If I install everything manually it works fine and I absolutely love this tool, but no drag and drop. It says Multicraft has stopped working and windows has encountered a problem. Any thoughts? I'm not too worried about it with an update on the way.
"<program> has stopped working" is windows's generic error message for pretty much any program that crashes.
In MultiCraft's folder, do you have Ionic.Zip.Reduced.dll? If not, download it from here.
The one that was created by the program was there, but it was a 0 kb file. The one you just posted worked. Thanks!
edit- I'm using 1.3.5.2 if that helps.
Hello. Any chance of adding a duplicate instance button in the right click menu??
EDIT: Also. in the show mods menu. If there was a way to re-order the mods in that menu. It would be good.
If you want to duplicate an instance, open the instance folder (the button next to new) and then copy and paste the instance's folder.
Also, why would you want to reorder your mods? What use would that have?

Duplicating an instance should allow for automatic renaming, that way the directory name matches the instance name stored in the XML.
When an object like a "Minecraft Instance" is managed by a tool like multicraft, especially when it depends on configuration files embedded in the object directory (instance.xml), functions like "Copy" or "Duplicate" or "Clone" should be handled intrinsically.
As for re-ordering the mods, this is a requirement which even the author admits is a problem. Check out the "30 mods in 3 minutes" video..
The author is careful to add the mods in the correct order because otherwise they fail.
If they are added in the wrong order, tools like MCPatcher, and MagicLauncher allow the mods to be reordered.
MultiCraft requires the mods to be all removed, and carefully readded in the correct order. This is very time consuming if the exact order isn't known.
Lastly, the current version doesn't seem to allow the addition of resources. Mods like Mo'Creatures and Spawner GUI required
folders to be added to the resources folder. How do I do this?
Request:
Please add support for Folders of instance names. Don't nest the actual instances, just allow for a logical grouping in the interface
PS. The download links are all broken at the moment.
I have found how to disable the Norton download scanner, for those using Norton and are unable to download the file.
What you have to do is go to the notification bar at the bottom right of the screen (by default) right click the Norton icon, the click on 'Disable anti-virus auto protect', a pop up will appear asking how long to keep the auto protect disabled, keep it at 15 minutes.
Download the file.
Re-enable Anti-virus auto protect.
Then your done.

Ah, right... Since the server is down, it's not able to download it...
