Im having trouble downloading this mod, whenever i delete the META-INF, minecraft does the loading sequence, then goes to a black screen, after about 15 seconds, it goes to a white screen and stays the same. Any help?

Sorry, not sure what causes this. You might want to post this problem in the modding discussion section if the forum search doesn't help.
If you use this tool and find 1 confirmed slime chunk or several, can you just build a large well-lighted area at one of the levels slimes spawn and have success? or do you need to actually find a slime and then you know they spawn there?

You can just go ahead and build your farm. It will work if you do everything right. I wouldn't build anything fancy though if you feel unsure about the coordinate stuff. But building a small room to test will probably lead you nowhere since it takes so long for them to spawn, even if you have a whole chunk covered.
Not sure what you're trying to say with the pictures though ^^
I used the mod to get the seed from a world I use, and then created a new world with that seed. I moved to the coordinates that should depict the scene in picture 1 but instead I get picture 2 :/
That can be because terrain is generated only once and stays the same even if the terrain generation algorithm or the seed changes. Slime chunks on the other hand are determined by the current seed and hence change if you change the seed (while previously generated terrain stays the same).

So the seed of Picture 1 changed? Damn, I'll never find out the seed for it :sad.gif:
Hi there. Thanks for the incredibly useful mod. I am having some troubles with compatibility between your mod and zan's mini-map mod, likely because they both modify uq.class. I am on v1.7.3, have the latest java (Java 1.6.0_26 and JDK 6), have deleted META-INF, and have tried installing each first, then the other. Each time it black-screens after login. I know nothing about java or I'd try and help narrow it down some more. I'd appreciate if you could take a look at this for me. Thank you in advance, and thanks once again for such a useful mod.

Yep, mods using the same class files will always conflict in some way or overwrite one another.
I'll get in touch with lahwran and see what I can do.
Install Java 6.
The map won't work if you have only Java 7 installed.
I had the same problem and fixed it that way.
Did Notch change how signs work in 1.7.3?
I can't place a sign on a sign.
Or I do it wrong?
I don't think so.
You need to point to the face of the sign's bounding box (marked by black lines when selected) with your mouse. The top face is very small.

:/
I might have written the seed wrong, it's hard to see mistakes in such a long seed name. I also had destroyed the tree in the 2nd picture.
This is very helpful otherwise, I was happy to learn that if I extended my abandoned bedrock mine I could turn it into a slime farm! :smile.gif:
Thanks :smile.gif:

Most likely there's something off with your Java applet support.
See if this page works: http://www.w3.org/People/mimasa/test/object/java/jar-param
If it doesn't go there http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Using the Java plugin with Firefox?s=java &as=s

Dude... That sounds SO wrong... x) :tongue.gif:
OK, what about the formula for translating seed strings to seed numbers? This would be useful too :smile.gif:
http://tinyurl.com/LB-SSS
If you want to use it in Java, just use String.hashCode()
You can see the exact formula here

Let me know if it works.
