Well I've had a slightly different problem but neither does it work. I enter all that stuff correctly and below it says 'Slime Map' but doesn't display anything. Any idea what's up?
I HATE cheating and cheating people but about slime, it's a pain ! I need someting like that to build a slime farm and i want this done not when i will be 60 years old..
At first i was sadly looking for a mod i hate (cheaters...) called X ray because it allowed you to see big green zone were slime can spawn but the mod is now old version and the new mod suck about slime it does not show. I put your file in my .jar but since it use the same as X ray mod minecraft was just crashing. Deleted the anyway useless X ray mod and re-installed your and boom, working !
Thank you for the 1.4.4 update. I am happy to have found your mod.
I will try it and come give feedback in some days...
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Because monsters are boring in solo, i was losing interest in Minecraft until i recently found out the Minecraft Hunger Games servers. OMG ! That's so fun i have never played ANYTHING so fun like that before. I'm back in Minecraft because of that I love Battlefield 3, but that's nothing against a good try at Minecraft Hunger Games.
Hello, I've been working on a map and this is really annoying me. It seems, at least for me, that even slime spawners wont work unless the chunk can spawn slimes. I've been editing the nbt tags, so do chunks have some sort of variable for this? I don't see any...
EDIT:changing the chunk to be entirely swamp did not work.
What happens to me is really weird, I already posted on the trouble post. No problem with the mod, it shows the same slime chunks of the page and also from Rei Minimap. But when i dig the 16x16x3 hole and light it with torches, even if i walk the 24m further from the hole, nothing happens after half an hour or more (didn't try more, I was impatient). Even tried taking out the torches, but not even other hostiles spawn. I also tried the 250m thing, nothing. I wish i had an answer, anybody has an idea?

Btw, I'm in Normal Difficulty
Slime farm's are one of the most time consuming farm's to make, just digging a 16x16x3 hole isn't going to cut the mustard. Even in "Slime chunks", Slime's are a very rare spawn - If any other mob type can be spawned in the spot that has been been chosen, it will almost always be something else.
for maximum effect, you have to light up all cave's, mineshaft's, ravines AND surface area within spawn range so that no other mob type, except slime, can spawn. - - and even then - - if spawn point's outside of your room, but still in the slime chunk, are chosen then your slime will spawn there. There will always be slime spawning in lit up caves above and below your spawning room.
Trust me, when I figured this out I went to what I thought was extreme length's, and ended up multiplying that by 10. Hopefully I can save you some time with what I learned.
I decided on two adjacent chunk's out in the middle of a huge ocean for one specific reason, to get slime ball's for a piston intensive mob trap that I wanted Isolated there. Once my room didn't yield result's, and I learned why - I decided to clear both chunk's from Y=39 to bedrock, so there was only one floor they could spawn on. I needed the resource's anyway for the trap. I built the trap in stage's, so that while I Lit up all caves and tunnels within a 150 block radius, I could slowly build up gun powder resource's for the big clear.
a much longer story cut short here is this - I had more then enough slime ball's to build the mob trap just by camping out and clearing the cave's - finishing the slime farm was just a matter of " now that I don't need to do it, I have the resource's so I might as well."
Edit - I spawned next to a ravine that's in a slime chunk in my current world, and just by clearing out caves, I've had more then enough stack's of slimeball's. for all my needs.
Pic's of the slime farm from my old world in spoiler.
TL:DR - clear out cave's and tunnel's in and around farm in 40-128 block's away, and reduce the area where slime can spawn outside your farm. the more caves you light up, the more slimes will spawn.
when i first loaded the web version it asks for me to update my java, which was already updated, so i do this again
it still insists i update java and wont show me the map
I don't think it's the mods.
How long have you been waiting? What caves/spawners are you talking about? In natural caves, it can take them forever to spawn, because the conditions are anything but optimal, You should make a 16x16 flat and at least 3 high room right inside your slime chunk.
Yea, they haven't changed; your farm should still be working.
Some ideas:
- What block do you use for the floor? Maybe it was changed to not allow mob spawns anymore.
- Have you tried unloading the chunks by walking some hundred blocks in any direction and then coming back? Maybe your hostile spawning is "jammed" by slimes elsewhere.
- Not sure if this is technically possible at all, but maybe your farm ended up in a mushroom island biome? No mob can spawn there. (You can check with F3)
I did some CraftTweaker scripts for Mystical Agriculture. They fill in a couple of small gaps in MA, and also let you make or duplicate not only vanilla plants, but the blocks, plants and wood from Quark and Biomes O'Plenty. Also spawn eggs for most vanilla mobs! The scripts are here on Github.
The logic of the app has not been modified since the app's release, because the slime chunks have remained the same since then. For this reason, I will now only add a note if the app stops working
They have not changed slime chunks since they were introduced (possibly a bit after) except for increasing how high up slimes can spawn in them (from 16 to 39) in the first official release - the online app even works for Beta versions, as well as Console editions. The mod has also been updated to 1.8.3, as indicated on its download page; that means you have to install 1.8.3 (from your profile editor) but there is no difference between 1.8.3 and 1.8.8 for singleplayer (they fixed some security issues with multiplayer).
Added 1.4.4 download.

Does this still work in 1.8?
Did you read the OP?

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
based on the wiki, slime chucks on bedrock are all the same. so is the photo you posted for bedrock? I have been reading but skipped some comments.
