Is Spritecraft still operational? I ask because the wiki says that Spritecraft hasn't been updated to match the latest versions. Though it doesn't really affect Minecraft's program (right?), so I suppose it doesn't really count as a mod.
Main spritecraft website down. Until fix you can get it here http://spritecraft.en.softonic.com/
Do regular softonic download, but do custom install and uncheck extra bloatware junk, spritecraft will download in background.
As the most recent official version (1.1.5) does not include the latest blocks (andesite, prismarine, red sand, etc.) I tried modifying the files manually to include them--and it actually ended up working.
The modification was really only intended for my personal use, but I figured, why not provide it here until an updated, official release comes along (if ever). If the author of the tool disapproves or this is somehow against forum rules, obviously feel free to remove the following link:

It never occured to me to use glass in my own pictures, or I would have added it in the first place. The blocks don't seem to show up as transparent in the generated picture, though, so colors might be a bit off. Not sure if that's even a problem, but I wouldn't know how to fix it anyway.
Can anyone out there make this for maps, or if it already exists link me to it? Maps are a lot more practical than a giant wall or floor. This might help: http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Map_item_format
I'd like to request a feature to add to this tool. I would like to make images to map that are flat. Right now we only get schematics that are standing up which is great for pixel art. The main way i use the tool however is using blueprints of buildings and rebuilding then in minecraft; for that I need it to be placed flat on the ground. That can be done in MCedit however it is a real pain to get it rotated and rolled correctly. So I suggest a box to tick for a flat schematic with the top of the image defaulting to north. Thank you for considering the idea.
Love this tool. Great thing to build large models with a map image to start with. A suggestion though; The only way I know that the map is being constructed is to pop open my system moniter and notice that one of my CPU's is working at 100% capacity. Some indication of progress would be nice, even just some text that pops up.

EVERYBODY DO THE FLOP
It works, maybe not perfectly but its pretty sweet
Seems this thread is dead but if NOT then I would like to suggest a couple of things for this app if it's possible.
1. Have it show how tall/wide the final image ends up?
2. Have a back button to start over
Edit: Updated version (for MC 1.12) on page 13!
Hi everyone.
As the most recent official version (1.1.5) does not include the latest blocks (andesite, prismarine, red sand, etc.) I tried modifying the files manually to include them--and it actually ended up working.

Hey guys, I recently developed similar app for android. Didn't know, that it exists on PC
You can check it by the link on Google Play, if you are interested:

Could you add stained glass?
There you go. Updated the original post as well.

Laige, if you go into the Options tab and select "top view" the image will be flat.
Could anybody add support for 1.9 blocks?
1.9 didnt add any new colors but 1.9 forge support would be nice for sure!!!!
