I'm not having any issues making smaller schematics, but when I load larger image files I get an out of memory error. I'm trying to use the java -jar -Xmx1024m SpritecraftFull.jar and increasing the memory allotment size, but the command doesn't work (nor does the .bat file), however the main .jar works no problem. I'm getting a "'java' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file" when trying to run the java command
Just a quick note - We have gotten a lot of emails from people having trouble running the newest release of Spritecraft - 99% of the time the problem is that they haven't updated to Java 7. We compiled the new version with Java 7, so you will need to updated Java to run it.

TheMaGioCo - You can go into Options and set the horizontal/vertical orientation there. If set to horizontal, it will spit out a horizontal blueprint that you can put on any map. Also, anything that is transparent in your image will not produce blocks in the schematic (gif and png only).
When I hit the "Create Minecraft Blueprint!" button Spritecraft just freezes :/ Nothing happens....The only thing I can do is close it trough the Task Manager!
And yes I have Java 7 installed
This could be a permissions issue. Make sure the Spritecraft jar is somewhere that allows file access permissions, or try running it as administrator.
@Fatty Not sure what you mean, Spritecraft can make your image any size you want, just keep in mind that 1 pixel = 1 block. If you want a 1000x1000 block output, you will need to put in a 1000x1000 pixel image (you can just scale your image up in Paint or something).
When it comes to exporting to schematic, that's a different issue. Horizontally it can do any size you want, but MCEdit doesn't support the "new" map height.
I love SpriteCraft, but when can I expect the next update? I want to be able to use nether quarts and redstone blocks in my sprite creations. Thanks in advance.
It's great for creating accurate pixel art, keep up the great work!
The one thing I want is to be able to zoom in on the creation, so I can see specifically which blocks go where. I am planning on making a large pixel art of Link, and I have to admit, I have no idea as to where to start. I can't see exactly what blocks to use where.
It says there is a main class missing. I was able to take a screenshot at the very tiny moment between the error message and the automatic closing on the program:

Has this been fixed yet?
Check out the readme file. It looks like you just need a newer version of java (java 7).

You can use the mouse wheel to zoom in on the image, and you can drag and drop with left click to move around after you zoom in. Or you can save it to a file and open it in some other image program.
Spritecraft has been updated! The biggest new feature is that we added support for resource packs (actually, less "updated" and more "completely refactored the back-end code because resource packs screwed up most of our texture loading logic"). Loading up a resource pack works pretty much the same way loading a new terrain.png used to: just load it and it will use your custom images to generate the output!
Other changes include adding all the new blocks like stained clays, quartz, redstone and coal blocks, and maybe more!
If you already have it, just open it and it should updated automatically. If you don't have it yet, you can download it here (and yes the donate button is currently broken so don't worry about that): http://www.diamondpants.com/spritecraft
this means the version of java you are using is older than what was used to build the app, try updating your java jre
