I'm trying to make the wiki page on mappers more useful, since right now it's just a huge mess, listing command line tools and GUIs together. There are way too many options for anyone to find the appropriate mapper for their needs without spending a day trying them all out.
I'd like to make a filterable table listing all the mappers and their features to help users pick what they want. I need help coming up with a list of features that will adequately advertise the niche of each mapper without being overly detailed.
Can anyone think of a better way to describe the functionality or any important functionality I've missed?

I made little 20x20 icons and added them to the first post. I'm trying to figure out how to best present these on the wiki but I'm having some trouble with formatting. If someone can explain why the features template keeps getting wrapped in
I would suggest a better indication of the size of maps they can handle. I see a couple with something like "capable of rendering huge maps", but it seems like something worth expanding on.
I've started to edit a copy of the mappers page. Anyone who can contribute (add/remove features on the various mappers), I'd appreciate it. Once I'm satisfied, I'll merge it with the main page.
Very interesting indeed. I hate the new design because it takes up too much space and gives no overview over it because of the huge screenshot every program has. I suggest that we try to make that better before someone gets hurt.
And back to your icons, you forgot Nether mode support. Also logging is something some of them have.
Ninjaedit: And a way to sort maps by these features we've listed.

Well, I'm going to start thinking of how to best present this information, maybe make some little infographic icons for features.
